my son is too young to know the original Chips but he enjoyed this movie and had many laughs watching it

This movie is very reminiscent of the hit TV show from my childhood. I hope that there will be a part 2.

Funny but can see why it didn't do well in the theater. It lands somewhere in between below average to could have been hilarious which is too bad because Michael Pena is really funny but the script just wasn't. I would recommend it to people that ran out of other things to watch.
