I had a much fonder memory of this movie from childhood - when I rewatched it recently, it didn't hold up. But my kids like it, and that was my main intent when I bought it.

I bought this for my mother-in-law because she loves the movie. It was cheap too, which made it worth my while, even if she only watches it once.

Again, Bestbuy let's me make my gf happy! Standard bluray, a movie I'd not expected to see in this format, awesome price point. What's not to like?

Great movie. Old family favorite. They just don't make 'em like this anymore. My daughter was thrilled when she found out we'd bought it.

A classic movie remastered into an updated BluRay DVD.

Sort of a boring story and shallow. Also, the special effects are so dated as to make the movie unattractive.

"Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was one of my favorite childhood movies. I remember first watching it on tv during a Thanksgiving weekend when I was maybe 8-10. When it came out on DVD I was thrilled and purchased it, only to discover that the title sequence was the only widescreen portion. When I saw this remastered release stating it was 2.20:1 I had to purchase it. I was thrilled to discover the entire film is now the right format throughout. The colors are amazing! I can't wait to get my whole family together for a night at the movies featuring ... "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang"!

I remember this film from my childhood and it was great then and its still great now. Songs that you can sing-along to and a light-hearted story to make you laugh and smile. It also looks great in Blu-Ray which surprised me considering the age of the film.

The movie is a fun ride throughout the whole time but i am really impressed by the bluray picture. Old movies getting restored like this is the reason to own a bluray player. Really fun and good purchase for everyone.

While the special features on this release are nothing to get excited about, the restoration job alone is worth every penny! Definitely buy this! Everyone in the family will enjoy this!

It has always been my favorite movie! It has such amazing actors- It is a classic. That everyone needs to own!

A fun movie for kids and adults both. Parts can be scary for small children.

This is a wonderful movie that has been lovingly restored.

The best part of this version of the movie is the special features. There are some lost interviews with Dick VanDyke, which are pretty insightful. He is a charming man.

A classic film that needs no introduction (although it can't compete with current fare of course), this review focuses mainly on the packaging of this particular version; namely, that the packaging does not adequately state the fact that this is a FULL screen version of the film (I don't DO full-screen!) Example: when Mr. Potts is in his workshop, Truly reaches to "turn on a switch" and her arm goes completely off-screen to do so! Useless. So, this review is mainly a "buyer-beware" to prevent someone else from making the same mistake in purchase. Also, the back of the package states that a "Colorful 4-page booklet featuring trivia and production notes" is included, but it isn't! A waste of money, unless you count the public value of donating it to the local library. Search for this title using the word widescreen or you, too will likely be surprised & disappointed.
