Worth every penny!! I am a long term cord cutter and Android TV user. I have a Shield TV. Getting these for my parents. Was concerned about this running hot or freezing so I opened one to do a trial run before giving them to my parents. Left it plugged up for a few hours. Works GREAT! I will say this though. It will be a good idea to spend a few extra $$ and get the insignia 7 port USB-C hub with ethernet or Belkin version. It works OK on wifi with slight delays. That was using a Fiber wifi connection. That is not a issue with the ethernet plugged into the USB-C hub. YouTube can walk you through the set up with using the hub. It's all pretty much plug and play with some good tweaks on the videos about side loading and extra memory. Had a sandisk memory stick plugged in. Was only like 100 mb/s read rate so get a memory card/stick that has a minimum 200 mb/s read speed. That way any apps you move over to it will load faster.

I have bought a Chromecast tv for every TV I have and find it meets all of my viewing needs.

Bought two of these for my TVs. They work amazingly and I wish I would have come across these awhile ago as my tvs have been collecting dust for quite some time. Super easy set up and works awesome, especially if you already have Google home. Would definitely recommend.

Opens up possibilities we had not had before. I got it to use with YouTube TV and have decided to put that purchase off for a while, but there are other benefits such as having the same menu as I do on my new Android TV. I also like having the remote. Recommended

I used my Chromecast to play COD Warzone mobile on my big TV. So I killed the motherboard on my desktop computer, and needed a cure for my information deprivation and gaming deprivation while a new one was being shipped. Chromecast to the rescue. I linked my old Samsung Galaxy S9+ to the Chromecast with screem sync, linked an xbox controller to the S9, and downloaded COD Warzone. No, it's not perfect, but it works fine, and helps us "blind" people to see the enemies on a big screen. And yes, all my movie accounts worked fine too.

We purchased to use on the spare room tv. Set up took a while with getting all the logins right. Once that was done it works like a champ. We have not tried with Google assistant yet. We'll be getting a couple as gifts for the parents.

Easy to set up and use. I received the first as a gift and when I needed another streaming device (despite having used Roku for years), I ran out and bought this one. Shipping was super fast and I was able to get everything set up in under an hour.

Work really well I brought a projector to connect this to make a home movie theater and 4.1 speaker system this chromecast has bluetooth so I connect to my sound system and it works really well 4k looks really good and hdr love watch TV from this chromecast

I am very pleased with the Chromecast. It gives me the channels i enjoy watching with good resolution in the picture. Highly recommend it. Easy to work.

I love google products. The quality and ease of use is awesome, I have 2 nvidia shield TVs that are pretty good as well but googles new chromecast is great integration with YouTube Tv and you get to see a nice preview screen before you get to the actual live channel

Makes streaming on a non smart TV super easy. Love having all my videos on the home page with right where I left off.

Overall I'm pleased with it after swapping out my FireTV 4k for this, albeit with a couple of small gripes. It's slightly underpowered for the task and will likely show age fast. For the time being it does everything it should do, but it feels disposable. I mainly purchased this for the integration with Google systems, since I tossed out all my Amazon gadgets and swapped them for Google ones for the improved features. I bought two of these, one for a 4K TV and one for an HDTV. It works on the 1080p screen but there's no option for adjusting overscan so it cuts off the edges in some menus. I wouldn't recommend it for Android games since the app storage capacity is lacking, but I don't use it for that. It has enough room for all my media apps but if I did more than that I'd have to add an external drive. A bit annoying, but at least it's an option. I also wish it was available in black. Everything else about it has been vastly superior to the FireTV. Better integration, better app selection, and no annoying advertisements.

I've had the 1st gen Chromecast device and this new one is a much better experience. I like that there's a dedicated remote and seems more of a streaming box experience rather than just a casting device from previous generations. Works very well and easy to use.

Very practical ñ, functional and easy to use; with a little patience it gets set and ready.

Connected directly to a Denon avr-x4700h. My one gripe is, sometimes it doesn't recognize 4k which can be resolved by power cycling the avr. So, minus one star for always having to check the 4k status. Otherwise, it works very well with an easy to use user interface. We now have a total of five in the house.

Its a great chromcast replacement as it comes with a remote. I own 3 of these because they are so good. I have 1 in the living room another in my room and another in another room. This is honestly a great way to make a tv a smart tv.

Google Chrome cast mates streaming movies, TVs, shows, I am binge watching seamless. All you have to do is ask Google to play a show or movie and it comes right up. No more going through the hassle of looking for the application to play the specific show or movie.

I you need a streaming device look no further. It out performs the fire stick and is not on a lockdown platform you can sideload apps as needed for the price it's the best streaming device you can get without going to the Nvidia shield.

We love how easy this is to use and that you can add apps as they are available (or discovered). We don't watch TV a lot, but there is definitely variety for streaming. We would definitely purchase again.
