It connects to all the apps my family uses and works 99% of the time. We do have the occasional issue with connecting to wifi but unplugging and pluffing it back in does the trick every time this happens.

If you're invested in the Google ecosystem, this is better than the roku. As more apps get integrated in the universal search it will improve even more. The big one that's missing now are the live TV apps - YoutubeTV and Sling are integrated, but Fubo is not, yet I hope.

My setup: (1) Flat external monitor with built-in speaker and HDMI input. (2) This Chromecast with Google TV. (3) Minivan's LTE subscription (or you can tether to your smartphone using hotspot). Now my kids can watch YouTube or videos from other sources in the car in long road trips. Perfect.
