Chromecasts have long been something I've ignored because I don't like the idea of having to use my phone to cast to my TV for everything I watch. However, when Google announced their "Chromecast with Google TV" I was very intrigued at the mix of a streaming device with the ability to Chromecast. So far, I am quite happy with my purchase!

Nice device and good interfaz, the speed is incredible

Works as advertised. We like how it syncs with our smartphones and smart home cameras. Though a google Home has yet to integrate it with their nest speakers well. I’ve yet to crack how to use it in sync with our smart speakers to have surround sound audio. The responsiveness can be a little sluggish at times. But generally it works well enough to not be frustrating. Browsing for movies and shows is a breeze with their interface.

This remote is awesome. I have a tv in my rental that’s smart, however it’s an older version of smart. I was not getting current apps, but with this remote I was able to access all apps via the old tv.

Perfect home media device. Love that Google TV lets you use android streaming apps so you can do things like use the haystack app to get local curated news and weather. Remote works and the interface is fast and responsive compared to Roku. I got 3 of these on release date even though I already have smart tvs, this just works better.

I bought this to get out of Apple TV and also test out the comparison. I am happy with Google TV and found this option as more economical but need to buy another remote for playing games. With AppleTV Remote you can play few games as well but its expensive. Overall this is a very useful and economical product.

Awesome device!!! This is an amazing streaming device that hooks up to the google home environment, is very speedy and has the responsiveness you'd expect from a Google product. I bought several more I was so impressed! Highly recommended!!!

Overall experience is good but google being good you can imagine all kinds of conflicts with network based ad blockers.

As someone who really appreciates software design and cohesiveness, this new Chromecast with Google TV is leagues ahead of Roku. It's easy to setup and pulls all of the content you are watching onto the home screen so that you can resume from there instead of having to open each app.

If you're looking for something to stream or cast to your tv. This is it. it makes a tv that doesn't come with all the streaming services you want to have everything you ant want and more. For cheaper than buying a new tv. if a new streaming service comes along it will be in the app store the day it comes out.

It was very easy to setup and like the design of the new UI

I love the fact that it's so small and doesn't clutter up my entertainment space. I especially like the remote that can control my tv volume as well. I can access all of my TV, movie and music streaming services in one place. Remote actually works for my surround sound system. Plus 6 months Netflix included, Great Deal!

Pros: Everything but the remote Cons: Remote The device itself is quick, responsive,and it does a great job curating content from all your services in one place. I'd consider ditching Roku and buying 3 more of these if not for the remote. Maybe I'll get Shield TV and sideload the Google TV UI. The remote is definitely the weakest link. It's small, slick, and easy to lose. The ergonomics just aren't there. I prefer the Roku d-pad to the wheel on this. The buttons are a hard, slick plastic rather than rubberized. It lacks dedicated fast forward and rewind buttons. The divot on the back of the remote should also line up with the"okay" button on the front. I hate to harp on the remote so much but TV should be intuitive and enjoyed without having to consciously think about controlling it. This would be 5 stars if not for the remote

Great device with a perfect picture and easy to use!

Used this for making my monitor into a TV, when I'm not using it for work. Power and speed of Google TV is the same as if it was built into the monitor.

It's great!!! I have other streaming devices, that are 3 times as expensive and they do not compare to the Chromecast. It takes a little bit to get used to, but then it's smooth sailing. There are a few things I wish it did, like a last channel button when using Live TV, but that's nothing for the price! YOutubeTV is pretty good too

I got this product since my in-built Roku on my 5 years old TV was getting slower. I had always used Chromecast previously, but this was game changer since this comes with an entire Operating System (Google TV) and Remote. A must have for people who have older TVs and are looking to make it smart.
