Bought this primarily to upgrade my original Chromecast to the 4K version and watch HBO Max. Setup via your Google Home app is super easy. If you have multiple streaming services, this device aggregates them all on your watching dashboard. This could be a plus or a minus. However, you still have the ability to select your services individually to view their specific content. Picture and sound are excellent, with supported 4K resolution with Dolby Atmos and Vision. Some negatives: There is no hardwire network ability, which limits you to whatever WiFi speed you have. While watching WW84, there was some freezing and glitching and audio dropouts, requiring a restart a couple times. Also, not too thrilled about another tiny remote that can mysteriously disappear. Instead of a new remote, Google should look at integrating this with your cell phone and any Google Home devices already installed in the home. The voice recognition on the remote is still not perfect, generating some unwanted results. Overall, if you're already invested in the Google ecosystem at home this makes a great addition for casting and streaming.

I like the verity of programming and shows. The voice activated remote is the best ever.

I originally bought this due to it’s the only thing my projector would connect to but its a lot better then I though. Way better then the Roku stick and the fire stick.

Have used Roku for many years but find the Google TV experience easier, and less gltichy then Roku.

Almost plug and play. Simply plug into TV and outlet, sign into your accounts and boom! Really easy to use and navigate interface. I purchased as a gift for my son and now purchasing one for myself.

I love how much easier it is than the older Chromecast and that it has a separate remote you don't have to use your phone. It makes things so much simpler and I got it for an awesome price at Best Buy cannot be mad at all Love It!!! ;)))

We cut the cord with cable. This has been perfect

It just works, a simple intuitive UI and no lag makes the good tv experience. If you have slow wifi and way to use ethernet cable, get a ethernet dongle and you will never see a loading icon again!

Game changer. Cancelled cable and never going back ever again. The Google UI (user interface) will combine all your streaming services into one place and the Google TV integrates with your smart home perfectly

Addresses all of the shortcoming of the previous generation of chromecasts now that it supports apps, has a remote, and let's you connect bluetooth headphones directly. I just wish it had an ethernet port directly on the unit instead of having to source one that also has power delivery.

My family loves this. Easy to use. Set up can be a bit quirky with establishing connection and it has lost its settings once or twice for no apparent reason. But menus are easy enough for my kids to use.

Having owned several Roku's I thought I would give this a try due to lack of HBOMax support. The UI is much better than Roku. Easy to use. If you have Apple TV+ you wont be able to use this watch, at least not at the time of this review.

Works great! It makes watching all the streaming services much easier for those without a smart tv. The only issue I've had is out of all the services, Disney+ is the only one that has had any issues with buffering through the marathons.

I’d give Chromecast w/Google TV a 4.99 Stars Rating, if I could. It’s a great streaming device. I’ve had no issues and every app that I use works effortlessly and meets my expectations & needs. I’m an Amazon user with multiple products throughout my house, so they are my go to for streaming devices. But this is a cool product.

I have two Nvidia Shield TV devices which were $150 a piece.....this Chromecast with Google TV is almost as good for $50! I would recommend this to anyone. Runs circles around a Fire Stick or Roku in my opinion.

This has been the best purchase. I had the amazon firestick and was good for a bit but compared to chromcast, chromecast blows it out of the water. The only app not available is xfinity stream but no biggie.

This is a great product! i replaced for my chromecast ultra, rhis one just offerd slot more, Plays all my shows in high quality And its very fast it slso loads very quick the movies and videos! I Recommend it!

Easy to install/connect. The only thing is I can’t make it work with my sound bar so I have 2 controls now. Must be user error
