It’s a good start to where streaming devices need to go. I like how it integrates all my services together. It focusing more on the movie or show instead of the service itself once everything is linked. They did make some odd choices though. Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos are only supported on Netflix. Why? I e for tons of 4K movies that have both but they only play in HD and 5.1 audio. They need to add the Apple TV app. Roku and Fire have it and it is needed for those of us that use Apple Movies. It integrates well with YouTube TV but still lacks some features that it offers on my Apple TV, which is odd. Channel previews play on Apple TV but not on Google TV, or any other service. Google should have all features on their own device. Hoping they fix some of these in future updates.

This item.was extremely easy to install. Connects quickly to rhe internet

Very intuitive interface and definitely quality built. Have some small issues where volume button doesn’t work randomly but it may because it’s plugged into my receiver. Reason for 4 and not 5 stars is because it’s difficult to get the 5.1 audio working due to compatibility issues.

I love this thing Make sure you get the Google TV version. It has put new life in my old plasma TV. The remote is super helpful over using your phone. Worth the money for me.

The Chromecast works fine and it has all the apps I'm looking for. Apps I was looking for were Paramount + and Discovery +. Xfinity flex device didn't include the Discovery +. Easy to setup and use.

4k google chromecast is where its at. botoced right away how much more crisper it is compared to its hf counterpart

I have the Alexa fire stick 4k and the Chrome cast. I Notice that the chrome stick image quality is alot better. YouTube is lighting Fast and its east to use and navigate. I am so happy that I bought this.

Got a new 75" for the living room - with all of the new tech and built in apps I was able to finally cut the cord and get rid of cable, saving well over $100 a month! Forgot about my older TV in the bedroom... Tried a couple of other devices to get the apps I wanted, but most were limited, and required multiple remotes. Tried my older Chromecast (without Google TV), and in all honesty that was more of a pain, as I had to rely on my phone to cast content. This solved everything. Setup was a little convoluted, but once up and running it is great! Assuming your TV has ARC, you can even use the Chromecast remote to control the TV. Now my older TV functions just like my new TV, apps and all!

Did you know that if you buy a movie on Google, you CANT stream it to your Samsung TV AND theres no app for it in their store either? THAT'S where this device comes in. It a crap shot on when things get released to digital and what format it will be end. I tend to find Google has a wider variety of 4K than Amazon. Its close but more times than not. With this device, not only can i stream with ease but, it brings the most out of the device as far as resolution

I bought it just to have Chromecast on my TV. I have mixed feelings. Cons: remote is slippery and always ends up between couch cushions, under you, or slipping anywhere but where you left it. This makes you have to change the batteries often because you end uo sitting on it all the time. The buttons are like a slippery rubber, so unlike other remotes, this one slides even when you put it face down. My other remotes don't have this issue. Biggest annoyance with this device, so much so that I wouldn't recommend it for this reason alone. The content this device recommends, has NOTHING to do with your subscriptions nor the apps you have installed!! For example, it recommends a movie. And youd assume it's either part of your subscriptions or apps you have installed. But it is not, not only is it not available for you to watch, but you don't even have that app installed. I don't understand this logic. Not only does it do this, but there is no way to change this in the settings. So you have a device suggesting things you can't watch unless you pay money to an app you're not even using and is not free. For this reason alone, I don't recommend this device. I think Roku doesn't do this, but I haven't used a Roku for a while. Also when you use the Google voice to do a command or search something. The audio is extremely loud, there is no separate volume control for the Google assistant. Pros. It has Chromecast, which surprisingly I don't use often. It's pretty. That's all. Buy a Roku or smart TV. Roku has remotes that have an Aux output which is really cool and doesn't have slippery buttons. Also Roku has a find my remote feature.

I bought the Chromecast 4K so that I could cast my Meta Quest 2 video and audio to my 4K LG Television. That way I could help users who had never used a Meta Quest 2 VR system navigate through setting the Quest 2 up. The image on the OLED TV had higher contrast and resolution than the image seen when wearing the Quest 2. The quality of the video far exceeded what I was expecting from the Chromecast 4K. It is an easy and great solution for casting 2D images from the 3D Quest 2 to a high quality TV.

Makes watching TV easy. This is very useful for older televisions that don't have Chromecast built in. Very easy set up that allows you to watch any channels or videos you are subscribed to via your Gmail.

Great streaming device, lots of options, restrict profiles for kids, so you can peacefully live. No stress what kids are watching. Voice remote also works great.

The price almost seems too good to be true. I switched from Apple TV and Apple ecosystem to Google and tried a few streaming boxes until i landed on this dongle. How is it this good? It isn't as snappy as the latest Apple TV but other than that the network performance is great, HDR picture quality is just as good and it integrates with my other google home devices.

Having remote is great addition when compared to previous generation. Overall impressed by the user interface and speed.

If all you do is watch streaming content across multiple platforms like Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, etc. This is the device for you! It also can learn your basic TV functions too.

This is the best streamer out there. Especially if you are using google services like YouTube tv. I just wish you could clone them so I could more easily put them on every tv in the house
