On top of that, the Firesticks are intentionally engineered to not to play nice with Google home products, which is the primary reason I purchased this. I can't emphasis how superior of a user experience this offers over the other products. I have since replaced the other Firesticks in my home with these.

When the Chromecast is not being used, it can quietly keep you entertained. You can choose from your favorite albums in Google Photos, enjoy the art gallery, or select from a variety of content from Facebook or Flickr to show while the device is idle. You must be signed in to their Google Account in order to set up and configure Ambient Mode.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap the Chromecast device.
- At the top right, tap Settings.
- Scroll down, then tap Ambient Mode.
