Took a little while to figure out all of its capabilities but it works great since I won’t get cable and use several streaming services such as fubo and Philo. I spend a lot of time in Morocco where these streaming services won’t work. But by combining this unit with a VPN I am able to watch all of the US channels with no problem. Works great!

Much easier to connect and certainly makes any TV a smart TV. Only part I didn't like is that is HAS to plug into an outlet. No more using the USB on your TV.

It should be the standard bearer for Google TV but it is low on ram and storage and it shows in the performance. The remote is too delicate as an everyday remote and you'll need to keep your TV remote handy as it doesn't control as many functions as it could. Looking forward to the next generation of this device otherwise, as we love the interface.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.if you have a non-smart tv, or the smart features are slow and clunky like on samsungs Tizen OS this is a great option. it provides input and volume control so you dont really need the TV remote other than to adjust settings. for the most part it is quick to load apps and content suggestions are spot on!

This one actually comes with a controller and the material used on it feels nice to hold. Google assistant is nice and responsive with a great mic on the controller. I am very impressed with the speed of apps opening and switching. Compared to my Amazon fire stick, loading times are lightning fast and responsive. I can see why they are charging 50 for it but with 4K support, I think it’s worth it.

Posted .Hi Lesley, we appreciate your feedback about your Chromecast with Google TV. We’re sorry that you have to switch back to Roku to watch cable TV (Spectrum).
Chromecast can’t be used as a Spectrum receiver to access Spectrum business TV programming. Also, Spectrum TV app is not included on the list of cast-enabled apps. However, if you're using an Android device, you can mirror your phone screen to the Chromecast to watch content from the Spectrum TV app.

Great for a traveling worker
