Android tv interface is way better than any stock UI that comes with the tv.

Really happy with the software aspect of the product, but I am not very impressed by the hardware, specifically the control, having had an Apple TV before I got to say that the quality of the remote is more important that the one of the actual streaming box, since it’s what you are interacting with all the time you’re using the device, it’s maybe a little too small for my hands. That been said it’s a really nice value for the price

Got a secondary tv somewhere that isn't a smart tv? Well now it is. Really though, this is a great product for those tv's in your house that are still perfect for what you use them for and don't need updating but you would like to have all the apps your main tv has. We use it for all the streaming services on top of YoutubeTV as well. Can't beat it.

I LOVE this device but there are some changes I'd make. The remote is too slick and I've dropped it a few times. It still works fine but still pretty slick. Be careful holding it. The buttons are a little small and I'm not a fan of the preset buttons of Netflix and YouTube. However, I DO understand why there's a YouTube button as Google owns YouTube anyway. Netflix...maybe you don't have that. I don't know if you can reroute it via software but it'll always physically say "Netflix" on the button unless you put tape or something on it. Good device though!

As I've worked with the Chromecast with Google TV, I've learned that it is less understandable than I am used to. I'm a "Read the Book" kind of learner, so it has held me back from making better use of the device. That said, I especially like the ability to gather all of the stream content from different providers you are paying for. I can ask where I can find a show or movie, and it will show me where to get to it. Cool!

If you use multiple streaming services (Netflix, Disney +, HBO Max, etc) this is a must have. Android TV is the main OS and you can search from all of your streaming services at once. If you use YouTube TV, it is integrated into the main screen of Android TV and works welll. You can still connect from a mobile device like you could with the older chromecast. The remote works great until it doesn’t. I had to buy a new remote from Google (Best Buy doesn’t sell them) less than a year after buying this. The remotes are $30, when this set is only $50.

Great little tool to revive an old Android TV. Very snappy and easy to replace. TV on and volume controls aren't very responsive.

Super smooth when using. Setup was simple. A small learning curve when first using, but overall very easy. It simply works for me, so far. I'd recommend.
