    Bought this for my “smart” tv because it started to slow down and didn’t have certain apps. The google chromecast has elevated my TV and have all the apps you could want. Works even better with my smart home.

    Beautiful 4k and nice, easy to navigate UI design but can be laggy at times. Remote control is responsive and lightweight.

    I bought this to upgrade an older Chromecast (gen 2) that had issues with rebooting randomly. My setup has included a Roku Ultra and a Chromecast, but now I don't know that I need both of them. I so far haven't found any app on Roku that I use that isn't on the Chromecast. This isn't as quick and responsive as my Roku, but it isn't too much a difference. Overall I have been very happy with this upgrade to my system. I notice that I use the Roku less and less now that I have it so time will tell if it just replaces that as well.

    I bought this last year. I was disappointed that directv go/stream was not in the google plays store. Overall, no issues with this device. Later this year google updated the software and Directv Stream's app was updated. All is good now. A device that has been working perfectly for 1 year gets 5 stars.
