It work like it was 10 years old even though it was only 3 weeks old. The first 2 weeks it worked fine.

No 4K picture

To ensure you get the best experience, we recommend checking if your setup meets the following requirements:
- A mobile phone or tablet running Android 6.0 or later, or iPhone or iPad with iOS 12.0 or later version.
- An active Gmail account. You may encounter issues using a G-Suite account.
- Ensure that you have an updated version of the Google Home app.
- A high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps. Mobile hotspots and Captive portal networks are not compatible with Chromecast devices.
- A strong Wi-Fi network connection.
- A TV with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 1.3 or higher built-in. HDCP 2.2 is required to support 4K content. Most televisions that are five years old or newer and have HDMI ports will have at least one port that supports HDCP 2.2.

Good UI, Bad WiFi

The problem is that the WiFi disconnects frequently. I have to reset my router, modem and Chromecast multiple times before it will work again. The irritating part is that the unit says the WiFi is connected successfully, when it is actually not connected. I hope that can be fixed through a software update. I would not recommend this product as is.

Thanks for telling us about the connectivity issue with your Chromecast with Google TV. Although it was a great idea to reset your modem, router and Chromecast, we're sorry to hear that you had to try it multiple times without fixing the issue.
Connectivity issues are always related to the bandwidth congestion of your Wi-Fi network. We recommend removing some of the connected devices in your network to free up some bandwidth space. You may then try using your Chromecast and check if you will still encounter the same issue. If the issue gets resolved, then you may need to contact your Internet service provider to check your Internet bandwidth and upgrade it if needed.

Returned it, wasn't as expected

But it didn't work good for me because its difficult to switch user profiles and if your spouse starts watching on your accounts. It will start recommended shows of no interest to you. I bought two of these and returned them.

After 6 months I retired the device because of problems and not being able to support all the apps I use. The remote is bad and needs to be reworked and certain app worked others were spoty! The future could be good for this service but time will tell! Right now they have lost mt attention.

No complaints, great to replace cable

It doesn't lag and has all the streaming services I used, including fubo.tv. Loved the colored remote, but it's a bit small and easy to misplace. Still enjoying the product overall though.

Chromecast connection issues.

Chromecast typically requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps, and we believe the issue may be related to a congestion in your network. Finally I got tired of dealing with it and took it back and switched to the Roku.

If you're willing to try, resetting Chromecast with Google TV (4K) may be helpful in fixing freezing and buggy issues. Here's how:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED should start to blink yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button, and the Chromecast should then reset.
We also recommend checking your connection for possible congestion by removing some connected devices, and checking if you will encounter the same issue. Once you verify congestion, contacting your Internet service provider will be a good step to see if they can check your connection and upgrade it if needed.
