Not that good

Don't buy

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very unhappy, lots of buffering, hard to turn on, I don't know if the remote is the problem or the unit, but turning it on required pushing the on button twice then the home button, sometimes multiple times. We bought a firestick, no buffering, turns on first time every time and I can control my tv, receiver and firestick with the remote. Get the firestick.

Posted .Hi Fred, thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry for any frustration this issue has caused you. When an app buffers, keeps on loading or becomes laggy, clearing the app cache might help you fix the issue. See this step by step guide here:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

Won’t work for us

Setup seemed really simple but after I finish the setup it says it’s not connected to the same network as my tv and it is. There’s only one network they can connect to. No matter what we’ve done we cannot get it to work. I only bought it so we could cast the oculus to the tv so everyone could see what the vr is playing. So it’s still sitting here not being used.

A waste of money

Volume level would vary depending on app. Dies a week after last return date. Not to mention the horribly small size of remote.

Thanks for sharing your feedback about the remote size, we want to let you know it is designed to fit in different hand sizes, we're always looking for ways to improve — We suggest unlink and relink your Hulu account from the Google Home app. Once done, reboot your Nest Hub then try to launch Hulu again. If it's still the same, please proceed with resetting your Google Nest Hub by pressing and holding both volume buttons together, at the back of the Nest Hub, for about 10 seconds. You'll hear your Google Assistant confirm that it's resetting your device. We hope this works for you!

I restarted my iPhone several times. I unplugged the product several times. My TV was not seeing Chrome cast over and over. So I could not watch YouTube. Eventually, it worked. I would not tell anyone to buy this. It’s too needy and requires lots of patience.

Did not work for me

I have several other streaming devices and was told this was better. It was not. I would have to reconfigure my whole home network just to use these. FYI I have an AirPort Extreme base station with updated firmware. I took these back the next day.

If you like Google home UI just buy Tivo 4K and install it there . Tivo 4k has the best remote and great 4k streaming and enough buttons to remap the way you like it . Google is extremely bad company . Be smart don't buy Google product.

Although Prime Video is a partnered app, and is compatible with Chromecast with Google TV, it may still encounter some glitches similar to the one you're experiencing. We recommend performing a factory data reset on both Chromecast and Voice Remote to see if it may be helpful with the issue you reported. Here are the steps:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.
