I decided to upgrade finally.

I was long enough for an upgrade and I finally decided to get it. The wait is over and the interface is amazing and so easy to use. Once you link your streaming apps, google will recommend a bunch of shows, movies based on your likes and needs and it's very easy setup.

Even the one in the garage where I workout. Love the remove and the casting convenience. I have crappy internet and these still work great.

The remote is absolute junk. It's the length of my middle finger and really not that wide either. It's very awkward to hold. Why Google didn't use their own G20 remote is mind baffling. I thought i would like the device, but it got unplugged and put back in the box.

It's easy to use, and I had zero issues getting it set up and linked to my google account. However, it frequently lags and glitches. When its working its fantastic! Unfortunately it may take a bit to make it stop glitching and enjoy the show. Also, it has all these apps, is a google device, yet i cant download the xfinity stream or motortrend+ apps on it and still need another device to watch either of those.

Mediocre disappointment for a 4K streaming device

For example, a voice search for "InuYasha" instead brings up "InuYasha The Final Act" (the sequel series) and only on Netflix, even though the first 54 episodes are on many services. A voice search for "InuYasha Episode 55" brings up "InuYasha" only on Netflix (which only has 54 episodes) and fails to inform you that episode 55 is on Hulu (supposedly supported by this search feature). Searching "The Empire Strikes Back" only shows results in Disney Plus and in my Google Play library, even though Prime Video, Vudu, and Movies Anywhere are installed. 4K is only 30Hz refresh rate universally on this device (as opposed to the Amazon 4K Fire TV stick at 60 Hz). Movies Anywhere doesn't support 4K on this device. Apple TV is not available on this device. If you have a Fire TV Recast, you cannot use it with this device. You are better off spending the same amount of money on a 4K Fire TV stick and sideloading Vudu (if you use Vudu) using the Android TV version. Pros: Nice UI, similar to Android TV. First Chromecast with a remote and without dependancy on casting. You can still cast to this device just like a legacy Chromecast device.

To improve the search experience with your Chromecast with Google TV, we recommend making your voice commands more specific by adding the name of your preferred media service provider (like Netflix, Hulu, Disney Plus, etc.) with the title of the video you want to watch. To get the best experience with the 4K resolution and 60Hz refresh rate for your Chromecast with Google TV, we suggest customizing your video experience by adjusting your display settings. You can follow the steps below:
1. Turn on your Chromecast and then at the top right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
2. Select Display & Sound.
3. You’ll have the option to adjust your display settings between Match content and Allow game mode, depending on the features available on your TV.
4. You may also set it to Resolution & Frame Rate which will let you adjust the screen resolution and frame rate.

I used to have just a regular chrome cast but if you're inbetween this and the normal one, get this!! The remote is super easy to use, plus the home screen is super personalized. I've used roku, amazon fire sticks and everything in-between but this has been by far my fav purchase for my tv!

Pausing, fast forward, going back or home. Even turning the device off or on. It's all instantaneous, and the design of the user interface, despite so few buttons, is excellent. I'm an electrical engineer and a hardware and software designer. I don't impress easily, but I'm impressed. And it's inexpensive.

This things is actualpy is to use and youtube works way better on this as well. Glad i got this!

Price point is good and I would definitely recommend this over the competition.

If you need something to take with you on a road trip and want to stream don't hesitate and get this one. You will get Dolby Vision and Atmos if your system can support it. Trust me this is the one to get.

This is a major step change in performance. Not quite the shield, but 1/4 the price. It can download most apps including HD Homerun which cannot be done on Roku. I'm using on my outdoor TVs and my game room TVs. Had a great deal at launch with Netflix bundle.

Not having to have all the streaming apps on your phone is worth the upgrade alone.

I have actually fully converted over from my Amazon Fire Stick. The remote is designed perfectly with extremely intuitive controls, and the chromecast does everything a chromecast is supposed to do. Drop Alexa, go Google!

I have an element small tv and can’t watch YouTube or Netflix, etc. on it but with this I can do that and so much more. I unfortunately don’t have an pictures on me but Definitely worth every penny!
