Wish that google play apps were compatible. Missing the Xfinity stream app. Streaming from my phone is a plus when I can’t find the small remote

Is been good and can’t complain about any streaming issues and if you looking for a device to stream on the budget this is it.

My favorite part about this stick is the remote . It feels good in the hand all the buttons are in the right area's love the volume button placement. Now to the bad I hate the pancake design . I got constant blue screens while using it on my tv while still hearing audio on what I was playing . I love the layout of the GUI but could not deal with the buggyness . My 30$ 4k firestick is super stable and works every time just doesn't look as pretty . Returned the device a few days after getting it you mileage may vary .

Buggy and unstable issues for your Chromecast with Google TV are mostly caused by either the limited bandwidth or congestion of your Wi-Fi network. Chromecast typically requires a high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps. You may also try removing some of the connected devices in your network to see if you will get better streaming performance on Chromecast. Once you verify congestion or that your bandwidth is insufficient, we recommend contacting your Internet service provider to upgrade your Internet connection.

The setup is cumbersome with the remote. The default home page with recommendations is extremely annoying! There should be an option for the ambient screen saver to be the default, and could be resolved with an update. This option would be greatly appreciated by those of us who enjoyed the streamlined and excellent experience of using the original Chromecast with a smartphone or tablet. The current homepage and the remote are big negatives for this product, but it's as close as you can currently get to the Chromecast we all enjoyed.

I have the original ones and this one is a nice upgrade for the fact that it has a remote. A little laggy at times, but im sure a software update can fix that.

Lag issues are oftentimes caused by different factors. We recommend checking on the steps below:
- Weak or congested networks. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve congestion.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave oven, refrigerator or other equipment.
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up Nest Hub Max on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
When an app buffers, keeps on loading or becomes laggy, clearing the app cache might help you fix the issue. See this step by step guide here:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654
