I went a head and got 2 one for myself and another for my parents that had dish set up. No tv is free for them, with the optional add ons of netflix, hulu, etc.

It connects to all the apps my family uses and works 99% of the time. We do have the occasional issue with connecting to wifi but unplugging and pluffing it back in does the trick every time this happens.

They haven't had buffering and issues with speed yet. They do dislike the remote as it is small, easy to lose, and doesn't have all of the buttons they are used to.

But, if you have the HDHomeRun Prime, the HDHR app actually works and decodes DRM content. Amazon has not allowed the SiliconDust app to decide DRM content....likely for competitive reasons. Android use has no issues. Love this device simply for this reason! Will likely avoid Firestick from this point on!

All content (except for Netflix since they discontinued their support after launch) in one place. Simple set up and the device is hidden behind the tv. Interface can be a little glitchy from time to time. I.e. not everything showing up on the continue watch section. Hopefully a future update will fix that. Remote is also on the small side
