chromecast has come a long way

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Roku beats this on available apps but the operating system and suggestions are better on the Chrome cast. This would be perfect if the search was better, like Roku. Many times I've searched for something g and got shown only options to purchase when I know it's available for free on services, especially the ones installed. Roku never failed in showing all viewing options everywhere.

We'd recommend that you uninstall the streaming services if you don't have a subscription to them which may help in resolving the issue. Here are the steps below:
-From the Google TV home screen, scroll to Apps.
-Scroll down to the "Your apps" section and find the app you want to uninstall. If you can't find the app, scroll all the way to the right and select See all.
-Hold the Select button on your remote until a menu appears.
-Select View Details: Uninstall.

I bought it because I didn’t want to connect my tv to the internet and deal with their operating system. This is basically an android tv with chrome cast built in instead of the older chrome casts where all you could do is cast to it. This has apps and games and all that good stuff

I have both and this does a lot that the Apple TVs has tried to do but don’t do all the way. Only gripe is that there are a lot of apps that aren’t on here that other streaming devices offer. But most you can still cast so there’s no worries there. Cost is a little high so I’d wait to catch this on sale

The ability to physically scroll through our media options is a nice addition of a forgotten feature. The ability to activate google without having to say "ok google" is also a wonderful feature.
