Strong upgrade for my kids TVs.

I dont know but this one has software issues and some times the cromecast doesnt work when casted from a cellphone and sometimes it does not appear on the list of available chromecast devices until its rebooted. Firmware is updated to the latest one but issue is still there.

Make sure that both your phone/tablet and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and you are using a cast-enabled app listed here: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_apps.
We suggest trying these simple steps that may help:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

I love how it integrates the live TV guide into the main interface and finds which movie or TV show is on which service. Dead simple for family & tech-illiterate people to use.

It took forever and I felt confused even under the simplist of directions. Oftentimes, the remote wouldn't work because it couldn't catch the signal from the adapter behind the TV. I have since had to buy an hdmi extender and it works better.

Getting an HDMI extender was an awesome idea. However, we've designed Chromecast with Google TV and the Voice Remote to work, even with the Chromecast situated behind your TV. We believe there might be some factors affecting the weak Bluetooth signal for your Voice Remote. Here are some steps you can try to fix the issue:
- Reboot your Chromecast.
- Restart your router. Unplug your router, wait for 10 seconds and plug it back in.
- Factory reset your Chromecast and Voice Remote. Check out this help article for a step by step guide on resetting Chromecast: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

This little thing turned my 7 year old TV into a smart Android TV. All apps load up quickly & run smoothly except sometimes when loading up Netflix. A quick search on the internet showed that this is a known issue & Google is working on a fix for it. Hopefully soon!

Remote controls both TVs and soundbars, which Roku does not. Flexible HDMI connection enables installation even where space behind the TV is tight. Overall, a much better option than Roku

You dont like your TV's operating system like Tizen or LG's Web OS, this device is the perfect upgrade!

I even bought two of them lol one for me and one for my mom. This is a otaku dream device I been watching anime non stop. You just need to turn on developer mode to have more anime options.

Their app selection is good, they're easy to navigate, and can be paired to my TV and soundbar to control them with 1 remote instead of having to use multiple.

I've had 2 previous Chromecast devices and the one thing I felt was lacking was remote access, so that my kids could use it well. Well, this fills that niche and is significantly cheaper than an Apple TV 4k, although it works much like it.

The voice assistance makes it easy so you do not have to type in and picks up what you are saying well. The video quality with 4K is great! Love using this device.

In reality it took over 30 minutes for it to stop saying it couldn't connect to the internet . Once connected ..no issues !!
