was a good Roku replacement until a recent firmware update that now forces you to see content that you don't have active accounts for. They are ready to sell or rent you the content but that's not what we want to deal with. So except for casting videos to the unit on occasion, the unit doesn't get used much. Just stick with Roku, your best bet for everything streaming.

It is flawless in its ability to understand speech. It makes such a big difference in the way we navigate thru the almost endless number of selectins to watch on TV. We are glad we spent about 20 dollars more for the better model. We had Apple TV years ago. It was a pain.

Bought this to receive Discovery+ direct to TV. Working very well and also received apps for Youtube, Pandora, Amazon Prime etc. Only complaints are the remote, it's small and slippery, hard to handle but getting accustomed to holding it. Over all very happy with the purchase.

Google has really stepped it up with the latest addition of their Chromecast device. We previously used a Roku and this has totally replace that due to its ability to be able to control the power and volume of our TV. The software interface is also more user-friendly than Roku

Much better than FireTV and Roku... Chromecast with Google is a game changer. For those who cannot afford the nVidia Shield TV, they should get this. With the latest Dec 2021 update, many bugs were fixed and better support for Dolby Vision was enabled.

The chromecast works well, however I told me Geek Squad agent what the problem was, and what I had, he told me to purchase it. Well I found out I did not need it! Once again SOLD something...not needed. I know you need to make money, but sell me something I need, or don't have.

Easy to setup and use if you are in the Google ecosystem. It comes in several different colors. If you want to use your usb on your tv, make sure if has enough power to power the device. Otherwise you'll need to use the included power brick.

Overall, Chromecast works out of the box and functions the way i imagined for streaming from my phone or tablet. I give it 5 Stars for that. The downer is that I've added to my Google Home system and when I add the Chrome cast to my music streaming, sound cuts in and out on a regular basis. 1 star for that.

Awesome product. Finally, Google made a real competitor to Fire TV and Apple TV. Google Assistant integration works fast and seamlessly. The UI design looks good, and I like how it aggregates series and movies from different streaming services and makes recommendations on the main screen.
