Works really well. I really like that chromecast now has its own UI and comes with a remote. No need to use my phone even though you still can!

This thing's pretty awesome. Super easy to set up, has every streaming app I use, and perfect playback. Also love the UI and using voice command.

Chromecast is magic. I cut the cord and went with YouTubeTV and I purchased four of these for our home TVs. It's plug-and-play simple and allows you to stream all the apps from your phone to your TV. My family thinks I'm a streaming god now! The ergonomics of the little remote are poor. It's hard to hold while pushing the buttons. But it's a minor thing.

I picked up one of these during a recent trip and it's now a standard part of my packing list. It's easy to connect to any hotel TV and is capable of being paired and signed in to any hotel network. I wouldn't recommend connecting directly to a network and instead using a travel router to make a private network, but once connected it has a browser that allows for browser-based authentication. Being able to watch any of my streaming services at the end of a long day while away from home has been wonderful.

I have been a Roku user for years, but decided to give the Chromecast with Google TV a try. Now it is the device I use all the time. It can do everything Roku does plus you can cast with it. I like the layout before than Roku as well. It just seems better integrated to me. Also you have voice search as well as the ability to connect with Google assistant. We use this device 99.9% of the time because it is so easy to get to the contest we want. We have Comcast (included in our rent) but weeks will go by where we don’t watch it at all.

I had a gen 1 Chromecast, upgraded to a Gen 2 Chromecast skipped the 4k Chromecast. Best Chromecast upgrade yet. This is what Chromecast should have been. Works with 5ghz wifi, has a remote for Google TV. I have can older 3D HD TV that hasn't gotten an update in years. It no longer accesses internet, no YouTube, hulu, netflix, prime, vudu.... Chromecast and casting was the only way. Now my phone is no longer required, it's smart again with Chromecast w/Google TV. This would work well with non-smart TV's also, I used to have one of those.

This is one of the best devices I have seen in a very long time. So easy to install and makes an older TV a Smart TV with all of the latest streaming services. I also love that you can talk to it and it searches and finds you all the options for the programs. Plus the benefit of the side volume controls on it for controlling the volume and being able to switch between inputs eliminates remote hunting. Very happy with the product. The biggest benefit of all is my wife can operate it and is happy with it.. And we all know happy wife - Happy life.

Easy to set up and use and I like that it pulls suggestions across all the platforms I subscribe to in one screen so it makes it user friendly.

FINALLY a unifying solution! Most Tv's now have a lot of streaming services built in but they are always missing something. This is the answer! I swear the picture quality through this on wifi is better than the built in quality of the (LG OLED) TV can provide even with an ethernet cable hard wired in. Integrating with the google system works to sync music through the whole house when set up as part of a speaker group. Remote could be just a touch bigger but it works perfectly! Bought 2 more for every TV in the house!

I've got four of these in my house and they are awesome! Easy to set up, work great in the Google ecosystem, and great user interface.

Works great for streaming. Some older TV's do not work well with the remote but, the ones that it works with work great. I am using these on three TV's and replaced an other brand. Great for the price!

Mostly pleased with this. Excellent 4k with Dolby. Liked the simple remote. Just occasional slowdowns but ok.

One of the best devices I have purchased! I have an older Samsung TV, which is still good but they started to remove apps on the tv. I saw this being for sale on and I had to try it. It not only does what the old Chromecast can do, but gives you all the apps to watch shows (must be subscribed). It's like getting a brand new tv for the money. I can even use my old tv remote to control the device. LOVE IT. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Bought 2 Google Chromecast with remotes. Setup was straightforward. They work excellent. So far I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great, fast, responsive, simple set up. A nice feature with this device is that it has a watchlist page where you can save any movie or show you would like to watch no matter which streaming platform it is available on. The only issue with this device is that it is skewed towards providing watching options with google. For example, when searching for a specific show or movie instead of listing ALL the platforms it is available on (which Roku does) it will list the platform that is available on if you do not have to pay extra (one that you are already subscribed to), however if its not available in a streaming service you are already subscribed to then the only pay on demand option they list is the google play option. I prefer the Roku which lists all the options and their pricing sorted by least expensive to most expensive. Even though the movie I wanted to pay for was the same price on google play as it was on amazon prime I prefered to watch on amazon prime since I had some digital purchases credit. I could still watch it on amazon prime with the google TV but I just had to go through the app manually. I will keep the google TV but I would recommend the Roku ultra to others instead. Especially if you have an iphone (I do not) since roku recently added air play support. Another point to consider when choosing between the two, Roku ultra has an aux port on the remote to physically connect your earphones whereas with the google TV you can connect with your earphones wirelessly.

Great interface and super smooth. The remote is very satisfying to use and works great with my old dlp display to give it smart features

Wanted it for living room tv, works perfectly, great clear picture (4K), easy to setup , the only down side the storage as it’s only 4 GB
