Device itself is great. Picture quality is perfect. *Remote is aweful, it slips from your hand, buttons are in a weird layout. I would recommend but also recommend a universal remote at time of purchase.

Chrome cast is a perfect way to manage your smart tv with the google apps. I use these on the 3 tv's in my home. Easy setup and to use. This product also get updates, its a simple as a click to update when you get the notification on your tv.

Fantastic device. I have an older HD TV that isn't a smart TV and I didn't want to buy a new one. I used an old blu-ray player that had a few pre-installed apps but updates were no longer supported. This device is a great alternative to watching my streaming services. And the remote makes it so easy to navigate. I'm so impressed and would recommend to anyone. FYI: If you are looking for live TV, you'll have to subscribe to YouTube.

I've had ROKU, Apple TV, the original Chromecast, and now this. After using this for over a month, I will be purchasing one of these for each of my televisions and never having to worry about what app is supported or what input I have to be on to watch my content on any service. This works with everything, controls the TV power/volume (including surround setups), and basically simplifies everything into a single interface that is easy to use.

Coming from a Chromecast Ultra, I had decent expectations for this new device, but none too extraordinary. But from the day I received it, I knew Google had did something good. The setup took about 10 minutes and was not complicated at all, and it installed all of my streaming apps for me which simplified many parts of the process. It’s such a snappy device in such a small form factor and for its price you can’t go wrong. I highly recommend!

What a great device! Everything is available in one single place. I have a LG OLED 4K TV and it doesn’t have HBO max as an available app to download along with a few others. This device adds that capability. I like that with this Google offered a remote which was definitely needed. This device is headed towards the right direction. While scrolling it is fast and not sluggish. Also the remote controls my TV and subwoofer!! Great buy

By far the best mainstream streaming device available. Google really knocked it out of the park on this one. Definitely gives Roku a fierce competitor. Nice thing about this device is that running Android you can pretty much load or sideload any available Android apps. Video is excellent. Responsiveness is super snappy. Remote is a pleasure to use. Price is direct competition to Roku and Fire TV that are much more limited in use.

The layout of this streaming device is very user friendly. It organizes your apps very well and can program to your TV, audio equipment and other devices to streamline your experience! However, I only gave it a 4 star because it doesn’t support Dolby Atmos audio and is slightly glitchy at seldom moments.

This is an exceptional value and amazing upgrade to my clunky Samsung interface on my TV. Setup was super easy and integrates into the Google Home ecosystem pefectly. The included remote, which separates this from previous versions of chromecast, is a nice upgrade to the one that came with the TV. I was surprised to find that the buttons were mapable. It easily controls the volume and power functions on my TV. Worth every penny!

I don't understand the negitive reviews this is very comparable to quality with nivida shields. People need to realize yes it's new so there will be more support to come, theres also something you can do to speed up the chromcast alot more, go into settings and turn on developer options and go to animations and change them from 1x to .5 times it speeds up the chromcast by alot. I haven't had any problems with crashing or anything like that

After doing many hours of research, I decided to go with this device and it has not disappointed. The "new" Google TV is working great! I am using it with YouTube TV and several other free apps. No hiccups! I have it on 2 tvs and I am using 2 other Smart Samsung TV's that don't need a streaming device. I might buy 2 more because I like the Google TV unified interface so much better than the Samsung TV version.

I upgraded from my old Chromecast. Honestly did not need the other features it has such as the other programs associated with it like Netflix, Hulu. If you're looking for something to just broadcast YouTube videos or Netflix, you don't really need a google Chromecast or a Chromecast at all. you can just straight broadcast what you're watching to the tv.

For the price and functionality this little unit is hard to fault. It has tons of features, performs really well and disappears behind the TV. Search isn't as universal as Roku and it really needs a storage upgrade but at just a few bucks more than some generic Andoid/Google TV boxes it's excellent. If they can fit another 24GB of local memory and ethernet in this thing, and address some software glitches I would totally give this 5 stars. That optional ethernet, power brick combo that Google is selling for the device is a complete ripoff, otherwise this is a bargain.

Probably the easiest setup of any smart device I've used. Works great and a very nice user interface.
