Purchased this device to get a few apps I cannot get on my Samsung Smart TV. It has worked flawlessly and is much faster than my Sony TV that is a Google TV. It does take awhile to set up, so don't wait until the last minute.

Very nice user interface. Every app is available from the store. Easy to use remote with voice search, far better than a Roku.

Iv always wanted a similar interface as the fire stick, and thus is it. And finally a controller.

I really wanted to love this device and replace my Fire TV Stick 4k with it. But every time I use it I'm reminded why I like the Fire Stick better and where Google is lacking. Pros: Navigation is pretty nice and not really complicated. Picture quality is very good. Scrolling is good enough. Ability to side load apps. Cons: placement of volume button is terrible. Only device I've ever owned with volume on side. Google should just straight up copy Amazon here and just put all buttons on the "face" of the remote and make the remote a bit bigger. No ffw/rew buttons would have been a MAJOR deal breaker for me if I'd thought about it before purchasing. Can't ffw/rew with just press of a button. Very inconvenient. Especially when used to ffw/Rew in 10 sec increments, for example. Although you can side load apps, some never show up in apps list. You have to go into settings and go to installed apps to find/open them. If there was at least a "recently used apps" list on the home screen, like on the Fire Stick, that would be enough, but of course that's something else Google is lacking. Lack of a decent available browser, namely for video playback, is a big disappointment too. Nothing nearly as good or user friendly as Amazon's Silk Browser. Practically never goes on sale vs Amazon devices being on sale almost constantly. I'll probably end up selling this device and just hope for a better, updated version in the future.

I love the interface and the suggestions from all of my apps in one place. As a long time Chromecast user It operates just like chromecast if you need it to, but I am enjoying browsing on the TV. The thing that stops it from being a 5 star is the controller. It gets lost easy, it has an odd shape that doesn't sit on anything well, it's small, and the buttons are so easy to press it can interrupt everything you are watching. Hot tip: I found my TV controller works with the dongle so the controller stays in a drawer now. Not sure if that is possible with every TV.

Fast and very respective. Easy to use and best of all I was able to control via my Samsung smart tv remote.

Good performance. Netflix and Youtube designated keys can be remapped (by downloading Button Mapper app from playstore). I also mapped the power and volume buttons to work with a seven year old TCL. I suggest not ordering a Blue or Pink as those versions are seriously backlogged (even if they show in stock momentarily). You will end-up waiting weeks and finally receive a automatic BestBuy cancellation which happened to me.

I love this chromecast with google tv ! It turned my 10 yr old tv into a smart tv. I only have internet and this has allowed me to sign up for streaming services and easily maneuver between the different services. And it also has a 'voice' option which allows me to ask 'it' questions. I don't miss cable for one minute! Easiest transition . 100% recommend chromcast with google tv 4K

Best bang for your buck. iPhone or Android user. It’s a great improvement. Remote is helpful.

Product quality excellent, easy to set up & use , the quality of pictures outstanding, great buy.

This has made tv time with the family so much nicer! I often talked about wishing I could search for a movie or tv show, and see which streaming service(s) offered them. This delivers on that wish, and offers plenty of features including google cast, ability to view google photos, and voice commands that provide a fluid streaming expirience!

The Chromecast with Google TV worked as expected. I enjoy many streaming programs including the Amazon Prime streaming movies and streaming TV programs that are not available from our expensive AT&T cable service. Mainly paying for the AT&T cable to record Hallmark programs which we have not yet found on a streaming service. Still learning options available on the Chromecast with Google TV,
