Hands down my favorite streamer interface. It delivers my main apps. Passwords are often remembered by Google. Apps are simple and straight forward. Value is absolutely there with no real bloat. I prefer it over my Roku and Firestick.

I have a couple of chrome casts that don't have remote controls so I thought it'd be great to buy one that had a remote so that I wouldn't have to use my phone as a remote. It's great if you only use the approved apps (Hulu, Netflix, YouTube) but if you use other apps like OnDemand Korea (korean app like Netflix) it's not as awesome, hence, the 4 stars. I have to press the Netflix icon on the remote and then cast my screen for my OnDemandKorea app to cast. To reiterate, when I use it for Netflix it's great.

the new Google Chromecast with Google TV 4K has really updated my 5 year old Samsung smart TV.. without me having to buy a new one! No longer have to cast PBS and other apps that weren't available to our older TV because the Home screen allows you to access loads of apps that include PBS, Hoopla (free from our public library) as well as some national network stations. Very pleased with our new tech gadget!

Awesome stream device, even better than nvidia shield and more reasonable priced

I really love this streamer. So much so that this my 2nd one. This one goes in my TCL Roku tv and works great. I got it to control everything my roku remote did. However, my first one went in my TCL Android TV. For some weird reason, i get worse integration. I still have to use the OEM remote to controll volume and power from my bed, but the google tv remote can power itself off and change channels from that distance. Up close, it works with tv power and sound too.

Upgraded from 1st gen firestick, so much better and easier to use. Easy to set up.

Replaced an aging Roku with this. Much smoother, 4k, and the remote is great for only $50.

Nice being able to seamlessly switch between apps. The HDR 4K support is great, hopefully they add Dolby vision support at some point.

This version of Chromecast was very simple to set up, including setting up the TV power switch. It prompted for streaming services I use and added them seamlessly. I am very happy with this new version that includes Google TV.

This product works way better then fire TV I bought this cause my fire TV acts up and Remote gets laggy and still in good condition but still gets wifi issues after rebooting router so I bought this streaming as a replacement and I have been using since return date. I had no issues better and smooth running. It's worth it then fire TV...

Chromecast works great. Easy to use and setup through the app.

Google TV is super fast, easy to use and yeah it plays well with others.

This thing is almost the best streaming device there is. If you take the price into concideration it is the best. If price isn't an issue the Nvidia Shield is better for people with a 4K TV 55" or larger because of the AI upscaling. I saw the above as someone that has almost every device. I have an Amazon 4K Fire Stick, Roku Ultra, Chromecast Ultra, 2019 Nvidia Shield (Tube), Roku TV, and many more.

Works great tons of apps very easy to use and having the remote is a plus

Great streaming device if you do not have a smart TV. Love the ability to cast directly from my phone.

My mom doesn’t have smart tv, but when Japanese TV channel switched their business to streaming service, this was the best choice for her to easily watch Japanese TV as before.

Performance is good but what a buggy device... Already had to reset it twice after updates (error screen) but is seemingly running fine now. Make sure to setup your volume controls for soundbars/arc separately in the advanced settings for best results! Just enough buttons on the remote for a spare TV with a few inputs. I would not recommend trying to use this as an everyday remote for an advanced Home Theatre setup.

My reasoning for buying this version of Chromecast is because our TV is an older model and perfect size for our room. The cost and features outweighed purchasing a new TV during a pandemic. I knew once we connected it to our TV my husband would not move. He has every movie subscription, social media app and all the channels in one place. It’s easy to set up especially if you’re tech savvy. Enjoy!

Really enjoying this although surprisingly there is a bit of a learning curve coming from regular android TV such as the shield. It is noticeably slower than the nvidia but that's to be expected due to the cheaper price. Only issue I have had is it does not like to be paired with wireless headphones. If they are paired it freezes while loading videos or does not play sound. Maybe its a headphone issue the wireless speaker works fine over BT. Hopefully that will be worked out at some point. Overall pretty happy with it for the price.
