The chromecast itself works about the same as earlier models. The user interface was workable. A nice touch was the ability to program the YouTube button to go to wither YouTube or YouTube TV. The interface was workable, without being outstanding. The remote was another matter. It's clunky and a bit hard to navigate with. It's small, especially for big hands, and it can use more buttons and features. They do have a remove control that's based in a mobile phone, but it doesn't work much better. One annoying trait of this device is that it goes offline if not used for a given length of time. The old Chromecasts would show a selection of background images, and that is what this version sould have done by default. Instead, it just goes black, so switching HDMI inputs to the one Chromecast is on will result in a blank screen and the television informing the user that there is no HDMI signal. Pushing a button on the remote brings up the interface after a few seconds. The YouTube interface seems inferior to the one on Roku. Also, Tubi does not have the My List function on the sidebar as it does on other streaming devices. Ther were a few other apps with similar problems. I returned it and went back to using Roku, which can still access YouTube TV through the regulare YouTube app. Perhaps the next version or an update will bring better functionality.

Love it! I know it’s a little more expensive than the other options, but it’s overall better quality and has more options. The remote is even voice controlled.

Good value for the money. Easy and fast set-up. The voice assistant works amazingly well and it is nice that it isn't always listening for a wake word. It only listens when the user presses a button. The remote control fits nicely in the hand. No more fumbling for a tablet or a smartphone to pause, rewind, or fast-forward like one had to do with earlier Chromecasts.

If you have a non-smart TV or an older one that does not use the newer apps, then this device will breathe new life into your TV. My TV works just fine, but it could not use a lot of the new streaming apps. This gives me access to everything I need, and the home page allows me to easily access the content of any app with ease.

This device once logged into your home intranet, bring the kind of power to your android phone that mirrors you video screen to your TV. I have on seen this kind power in AppleTVs and iPhone's

The cheapest way to get Google TV. The hardware was made perfectly to match the capabilities of the software so it doesn't lag and keeps up as they continue to update and improve the capabilities. The voice remote just works, as it should. The 'match content' HDR setting can be a little finicky. Just make sure to always reboot the Chromecast after changing HDMI settings.

Better than roku and fire stick. Faster and better layout easy to use.

I loved this device. It gets both direct streaming and the chromecast functionality on the same device. I was able to get rid of and old chromecast and relocate my Roku to another TV. The only issue I found was that it doesn't go straight to it when I turn it on, even with the right settings on both the device and my TV. When I press the home button, then it makes the TV to change to it's HDMI input. Navigation, picture and sound are great and apps content is more than enough.

I love this thing. I think I will probably start replacing my Roku devices with these as I like the interface much better. Once they integrate more services into the Live view it will be even more amazing. The only thing I dont like is that the remote is a bit small for my hands and is slippery, so hopefully someone will come out with a cover that makes it easier to hold.

Great product! I like the chrome cast tv as you can access a lot of digital content. In comparison to just a regular chrome cast, for a slightly higher price, the remote makes it so worth it. Ability to control you media on one side, the option to access google assistant is a great benefit. The only downside is that you have to connect it to a power source separately.

I currently have a Roku TV, but just moved in with a roommate and it didnt allow multiple user profiles. We added this on to our tv, and it has been wonderul. It keeps up with where we both end on our shows, gives us our own recommendations, and the user interface is immaculate.

Cut the cord 5 years ago, started with Roku's, but the devices started to die after a few years. Moved to the new Chromecast, and it's been awesome. I love how you don't need to go into every app to see what's new or what you've been watching. GoogleTV does that all for you.

Best streamer at$50!I downloaded 3rd party apps,so I can use Zoom Video app and other apps on my TV. Google Duo is great for video chatting.I attached j5Create webcam to CGTV using USB C hub.Now I can Video chat from my couch controlling with Logitech K 40 0 plus keyboard. CGTV remote control can controls TV also. Excellent product from Google at so low price!

I was reluctant to purchase this as I already had a functioning smart TV. However, the Chromecast streaming service is far superior to what you'll get with any TV. The remote is awesome--small, easy to use, no unneeded button, and has an excellent voice command feature. And the remote controls my home theatre audio receiver.

I have always used Fire Sticks and Roku, but ever since I got this I don't want to go back. I have all Google products in my house and this is so easy to use. You just sign into your Gmail and that is it. Then you choose your apps. I love this!

Nice streaking device. Features all your favorite steaming apps. Apps run fast and quality is great. The only issue i have is that sometimes my TV’s hdmi doesn’t recognize it, ans i have to unplug it, and plug it back again to restart it. But i can live with it.
