At first I didn't really like it with a new UI similar to Amazon's firestick but they have an app only mode to only show you the apps you have downloaded. After I put it in this mode, I loved it. The UI is cleaner and simple. The device also runs snappier and less hot. I'm glad they had that option. And can compare to my Apple TV but definitely beats it for the price.

I’ve been growing bored of my Roku’s tired old home screen and features. This thing is quicker, gives better content recommendations, and is cheaper than my Roku Ultra was. Plus I can tell the assistant to adjust my thermostat with the remote. Nice.

I’m able to integrate my Streaming shows on one platform and watch on 4K. Remote is easy to use and the options are smooth.

Installation was very easy as was the setup. We only ran into one issue when after installing the soundbar disconnected as if competing with the Chromecast hardware. Somehow the connection between both was made on the TV and now we can enjoy watching all our family favorites! My son prefers this device over the Firestick, although I think they work relatively the same.

Chromecast with Google TV is a game changer for anyone cutting cable. With access to free live TV channels, and any of your normal streaming apps such as YouTube, etc. Easy setup, and breathes life into any old TV.

Ok. Long story short. I wanted to get away from the Amazon Ecosystem and after how Amazon wrongful treated me during their Prime Day event. After they would not honor their Prime Day price and coupons to replace a lost item, I said, bye. Anyways. The Chromecast with Android TV is pretty much a chromcast device where you can cast contents from your device to the screen. What's even better is now that you have Android TV built in so you don't need to use a mobile device or PC to watch youtube, Netflix, pandora, spotify, etc. You can do this all from Android TV. It's nice for the non-smart TVs or projectors out there. The interface is pretty simple. If you have an Android TV before, like Sony or Hensine (Did I spell that right?), Then you know how to operate this device. If you don't have one, think of it as a FireTV but without the heavy amazon interface. Very simple, gets to the point, and you can find what you want. This does have Google Assitance if you ever need it. I haven't used it yet. The only gripe I have is that it will not reconnect to your BT soundbar to headphones. You would need to reconnect them every time you power on the Chromecast. Power is through USB to a power adapter, so you won't be able to plug it into a USB port on your TV or projector. Overall a great alternative to the Amazon ecosystem.

Feel like these use to be better. No 4k options. Interface a bit laggy. But since roku doesn't use cast anymore it's necessary. Both that i got i had to set up multiple times to get sound for whatever reason. Interface and settings need upgraded

I had to unplug everything and replug after the Chromecast didn't work on initial try. Wish technology could just be plug and play but somehow we're not there yet. Once it did work it's been fairly smooth but I've had to uninstall and reinstall some of the app apps when they randomly decide to stop working. In addition the length of the cord from the HDMI plug to the device is really short and I'm going to have to get a tiny extender so the device isn't hidden behind the TV to allow for a more seamless signal between the remote and the device. I'm surprised it's not longer to allow the device to sit uncovered. However, this device makes it convenient to control the TV, sound bar and Chromecast all with one remote so that's been really nice. It runs faster than the interface of my smart tv which is the main reason we got it. I think the device can use a few improvements but overall I'm enjoying it.

This derivative android tv device is awesome as it comes. You’ll find everything you need for your streaming needs. All streaming services are present. Features fast reliable wifi both 2g and 5g. Setup takes less than 10 minutes. I have a TV set with smart capabilities built in but it was too slow. This device ended that headache.

overall runs very smoothly. the setup through the home app i felt was a little rough and could be smoother. finding apps outside of the default apps was a little difficult but once you know what your doing the device is very smooth compared to firesticks and rokus that i have in the house as well.

I have had the Chromecast with Google TV for about 7 months and I am extremely happy with. It has my library, plenty of apps and choices for movies and television. It is very user friendly and it is a joy to get to watch so many shows on my Chromecast with Google TV. I highly recommend this product

Works great for streaming on the office TV with an interface similar to the nVidia Shield TV on the mIn TV.

Was using the chromecast ultra, which was buggy when casting. This still accepts casting from devices but is much easier to use with its on screen interface with the remote. Can also connect to your wireless headphones, priceless additions overall.

This was not an easy task from the to begin with. I have a Pioneer receiver that has Chromecast built in and I had a lot of trouble getting it to work. As a matter of fact I did not get it to work on my receiver at all even talking to a tech so I did the next best thing, I went to Best Buy and bought the Chromecast and had it up and running in 5 minutes.
