Now the majority of my media streaming content and casting needs can be fulfilled by this singular device (apparently Pixel phones can't cast to TVs with Roku built-in). Looking forward to using it for some time to come. The remote is rather comfortable in hand as well.

For the size, not sure if its up to par with nvidia shield tv... but is a very well built device and the flexibility and device size makes it very solid. The control makes it easy to control and not depend on your phone to cast stuff completely. I like this next iteration of this wonderful concept.

You can manage or configure your Chromecast Voice Remote to control devices like the TV, receiver, or soundbar. You can also set up the volume, power, and input buttons. If you haven’t configured these buttons when you first set up the Chromecast with Google TV, you can set them up in Google TV settings. Once you set up the voice remote's power, volume, and input buttons with your devices, it should be able to work via infrared (IR) for many devices.
