Works, great and excellent picture. Very easy and straightforward to use the remote. I like the feature when you hit the power button, it switches the TV to Chromecast input.

I recently switched to Google Chromecast with Google TV from the 2020 version of the Roku ultra and I must admit Google has done a great job with this new version of Chromecast. The UI is much more modern and intuitive very snappy and is a refreshing experience versus the age-old UI from Roku. I have been using Roku devices since their inception but am I'm fully ingrained within the Google ecosystem. I decided to make a switch once Roku pulled YouTube TV and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The Google Assistant integration is excellent the picture quality is much better than what the Roku ultra was providing with Dolby vision turned on. If you make the switch from Roku I am sure you will be just as happy as I am!

The older generation Chromecast devices are glitchy. But, this one is super solid. And, it isn't just Chromecast. It is a full TV streaming platform with a remote that puts it in the same category as Apple TV and Roku. I'm a big Apple TV user, but now I use this much more than Apple TV. It is cheaper, smaller, and for the most part just as functional. It even has a stripped down Apple TV app built in. I'm a huge fan of this. Only complaint is the form factor on the remote. It is small, slippery, hard to hang onto, and the volume controls are especially wonky to push. Except for that, this would be 5 stars on ease of use. But, you can live with that since the device is so solid.

Cut the cord and brought an older non smart tv back to life. Love the chromcast! Recommend to anyone that wants all the latest viewing apps on an older TV.

So far the Chromecast with Google TV is my favorite interface and streaming device. It's very convenient and supports all my favorite apps. Even streams 4K content at a very affordable price.

I've been waiting to be able to replace my Roku for years, I always thought the rokus UI was behind and the Google UI here is exactly what I wanted. The remote is small and easy to pair with my TV and soundbar as well

The Chromecast has always been my favorite but now that it has a remote control it's become the leader when it comes to functions. It has a browser for one. And the price is another reason to consider the Chromecast.

I believe I have owned every brand of digital media streamer or player. So far this is the best I've used. Fast, simple to setup and use - love the remote and it integrated well with our older TV.

This has made our tv viewing so much easier! It’s fast, easy to use and the remote is a perfect fit for my hand. I still can’t tell if the plug has to be plugged in all the time. That wasn’t very clear.

Throw away any other streaming device you have. The interface is great, easy to use and fast. Add in the fact that it streams in 4k and is updated frequently and you can't afford to pass on this. Definitely recommended.

I have tested basically every higher end streaming device including Nvidia Shield TV, Apple TV (2 most recent versions), Amazon FireTV Cube as well as Roku Premiere and even TiVo Stream 4K. I have found each to have positives as well as negatives (Apple TV Remote and $ for example). I recently purchased the GoogleTV with remote and I have to say given the price point and the fact that it is a first generation product that will likely only improve, I am very impressed with the user interface, remote layout, and app selection. Is it perfect? No, there are times that the screen takes a few extra seconds to load and the recommendations seem a little off but for the price point, in my experience it has the most positives going for it as a streaming device.

I have bought several of these for family member and myself for every room they are very easy to connect too and can stream anything you want and also can mirror your phone

Great product. I lost the remote to an old sony TV, This remote was able to connect to it for the power functionality. As well as the added android tv experience. Great interface, easy to use and very convenient.

I had a first gen Chromecast and I was finding that newer devices were having an issue casting to it. I was deciding between this and a Chromecast Ultra, but it wasn’t clear whether the Ultra was going to get the Google TV upgrade so I went with this instead. I’m still having an issue with one device casting to it, but all the other ones cast fine so I’ll blame it on that particular device. The UI seems fine, but we are an iOS house and we have a Prime subscription, so the Apple TV and Fire Stick get a lot more use around here. Other than casting, we use it for slideshows and it works better than the other two when doing random Google Photos albums, I’m guessing for obvious reasons. All in all, I am satisfied with this purchase.

My grandson did some research and asked if I would buy him this device. He has used it many times and really enjoys how easy it is to use and how well it works.

Very happy with it! Does exactly what i wanted! Puts everything on one screen so i don't have to look at each app separately on my tablet! Also like to be able to talk to the remote to tell it what I'm looking for!

Excellent streaming dongle. Fast, reliable and sturdy. The Chromecast with Google TV is a game changer in the streaming dongle race and in my opinion the one to beat. Set up is a is a breeze with the Google home app. The UI is fantastic and very intuitive, especially for a YouTube TV subscriber. It also brings all your content in one place in "for you" section. With seamless integration and the ability to add to a Google speaker group the Chromecast with Google TV is a definite must for any Google household. The new remote is a very nice addition. Small but very easy to use. If you've ever use a remote like a Roku remote then you will feel right at home with the Chromecast remote the second you pick it up You can definitely buy this with confidence.

This is an upgrade after owning a previous version for years. The pairing with a 4K TV offers a beautiful picture. The installation of common media apps offers great convenience in addition to the remote.
