Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Supports 4k streaming Allows searching across multiple services to find what you want to watch Has Apple TV+ Cons: Often doesn't launch app you're trying to cast, unless TV is on and on the correct input. This was never the case with my old Chromecast. Will randomly disconnect from WiFi for no apparent reason.

It may be helpful to try the following steps that might improve the connectivity of your Chromecast with Google TV:
- If you have a dual band router, try setting up your Chromecast on either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz bands and see which band is more stable.
- Check for possible congestion with your Wi-Fi network. Removing some of your connected devices may relieve network congestion.
- Check for possible interference as thick walls and other devices in your home may weaken Wi-Fi signals.
- Bring your Chromecast closer to your router to get better signal reception from your router.
- Restart your Chromecast and your Wi-Fi router. Unplugged the devices from the power outlet. Leave them unplugged for at least a minute before plugging them back in.

Easy setup as well. Wish this unit was more reliable. worked fine for few weeks. After couple weeks of usage started getting flickering lines on the TV when playing 4K content. Will return this unit and get a different one, hoping it will last few years at least!
