This is the best media streamer for the price hands down! I have an Apple TV a Roku 4k stick and I recently threw away my Fire TV stick 4k because I couldn’t deal with the constant connection problems... I decided to give Google TV a try and I am honestly impressed. If you aren’t in the Apple ecosystem, or don’t want to spend $150 for a streaming device, Google TV is your answer

Performance is good but what a buggy device... Already had to reset it twice after updates (error screen) but is seemingly running fine now. Make sure to setup your volume controls for soundbars/arc separately in the advanced settings for best results! Just enough buttons on the remote for a spare TV with a few inputs. I would not recommend trying to use this as an everyday remote for an advanced Home Theatre setup.

I bought this to replace a Firestick 4K and the Chromecast is much better. It is much more stable and easy to use. Some reviewers complain that the remote is slippery (it is) so I also purchased a silicone cover for it, which works great.

I am very pleased with this product. I was looking for an inexpensive way to upgrade an older model Sony television that does not have access to apps such as Hulu, Disney Plus, Google Play, YouTube, etc. and this one is perfect - easy navigation, access, app selection, and an uncomplicated remote. Great functionality with a low price.

Great Value...a huge leap since 1st generation Chromecast. The remote truly makes it smart since you are able to ask Google to do things not just with the tv but also with your smart home devices. I think the software needs some work though, the interface is sometimes too user friendly. But you get apple tv+ ...the only thing missing is apple airplay as far as software.

I really love this streamer. So much so that this my 2nd one. This one goes in my TCL Roku tv and works great. I got it to control everything my roku remote did. However, my first one went in my TCL Android TV. For some weird reason, i get worse integration. I still have to use the OEM remote to controll volume and power from my bed, but the google tv remote can power itself off and change channels from that distance. Up close, it works with tv power and sound too.

Overall the unit does as advertised, its a decently priced 4k media player and casting device. Passed that its very basic. The unit has an awkwardly small amount of apps which is surprising considering that it supports so many casting services. This is the main reason behind my lower rating. Secondly, it feels suprisingly low quality and poorly designed. The unit itself is fine but lacks ethernet support. The remote is the main disappointment. The plastic has a matte finish but scratches easy and is incredibly slippery and odd to hold, the button orientation feels awkward and uncomfortable. I wish that it had a headphone jack like the rokus to give easy private listening. Setup isnt horribly difficult for most people but I can see people who are less technologically inclined to get lost or confused easily. One thing i found very cool (at the same time lacking) is that even if you have an older TV or external audio system you are able to program the remote to control said hardware. But what im lost at is the lack of power control for the audio hardware, it only allows you to control volume. Overall the unit is nice but lacking in my opinion, i will be returning it until there is further refinement and development.

Loving the interface of the Google Home. It's very user friendly and allows for customizable and tailored suggestion based off of your preference. Great device for converting older TVs to new model feel.

This is a great device that you can bring anywhere and use it at the comfort of your own home. It has all of my streaming services which makes it so easy to access all of my entertainment needs. The remote makes it so simple to gi straight to netflix and youtube with the press of a button. Also the fact that you can cast from your mobile devices is great.

A million times better than Firestick, way better interface, much easier setup.

Great product. Easy to install/ connect. Only issue, Hulu ads lock up access, you need to exit hulu and restart. 4k access is great.

We bought this to stream some concerts from Veeps from an iPad. But we now use it as our primary interface for everything on our Sony TV with Android OS. We cut the cord and use YouTube TV - and a bunch of other popular services. This works so much better than the Android interface on the TV. Do follow the recommendations to plug the power supply into an outlet - rather than your TV.

This is 10x faster than Roku. Love the interface and voice control.

Purchased this device to get a few apps I cannot get on my Samsung Smart TV. It has worked flawlessly and is much faster than my Sony TV that is a Google TV. It does take awhile to set up, so don't wait until the last minute.
