I already have a smart tv fully loaded with apps, but im slowly adopting the google ecsystem so wanted give this a try. Overall, its solid, but probably a small downgrade from just using LGs built in apps. My biggest issues, its noticeably slower, and not as smooth. Apps take much longer to get a video pumping out than i expected, amazon prime videos taking the longest for some reason. I can click on a video on prime and it loads for 30-50 seconds before playing. The navigation is locked at 60hz, my TV is 120hz, so just browsing on the chromecast vs LG looks much worse. Negatives aside, i love the recommendations tab, the watch tab, and the continue watching tab, they're very convenient. All the shows you're watching across all apps show up on the main menu, vs having to open each app. I usually watch multiple shows at once, so this makes it so much easier so i dont forget any. Overall, its a solid device. If you have a smart tv already like myself, the tabs i mentioned above is worth buying this for by itself.

I bought this for my kids tv. I love it works better than the older version of chrome cast. Works faster,no lag. Only issue I have is there's no quick way to exit an app like before. So when one happens to act up I literally have to go to settings and go from there to foreclose the app. Also with a restart button no quick and easy way to restart the device itself.

My Dad loves watching his Youtube videos. This one came with a controller, compared to his previous 1st Gen Google Chromecast. Plug and play. All you have to do is connect it to your home wifi and you can start watching instantly.

Great product, great value. Love how it pulls from different services such as Netflix and Hulu to give suggestions right on the home screen. Works great with YouTube TV. And Google Assistant on the remote is very quick. Volume and power buttons on the remote also enable to be used as a universal remote

Having a Sony Android TV, I really liked the interface and watched some consistency in the other TVs. My bedroom TV is a Vizio and has a VERY slow interface. The Chromecast Google TV almost matches my Sony and is loads quicker than the Vizio SmartCast and a very worthwhile “upgrade”.

I like the user interface alot, but unfortunately it doesn't incorporate my services all to well. The remote is absolute junk. It's the length of my middle finger and really not that wide either. It's very awkward to hold. Why Google didn't use their own G20 remote is mind baffling. I thought i would like the device, but it got unplugged and put back in the box.

No need to upgrade your TV if you have a Chromecast with Google TV. This thing does it call. Puts everything in one place plus I like the learning feature which puts all the shows or similar shows in one view based on your usage.

Really enjoyed the speed and feel of the device but like most other platforms was not a fan of the number of ads and system that promotes content they want you to buy. If you need something to take with you on a road trip and want to stream don't hesitate and get this one. You will get Dolby Vision and Atmos if your system can support it. Trust me this is the one to get.

I have way too many TVs and each of them has one of these except for the one with the PS4 and the one with the Xbox. Even the one in the garage where I workout. Love the remove and the casting convenience. I have crappy internet and these still work great.

The Google Chromecast TV is better than Amazon fire TV stick because you have endless possibilities and if you have an Android phone it's very easy to cast videos or images to the TV and it does everything else the fire stick does too and the interface of the Google TV is much better and quicker

My newest Chromecast works perfectly. We picked it up for a babysitter to use during a wedding. Instead of getting videos, we could just plug in laptops all set up for the 4 year olds.

Finally - A Chromecast device that has everything you need/want (almost). Easy to set up, easy to use, great value. It will be perfect when they add the ability to play Stadia through the device (you currently have to use the Chromecast HD). Supposed to be coming soon via a software update.

Very easy setup and gives you full access to the entire Google play store. I run 6 of 7 TVs in my home off of these. Awesome added functionality if you use Google home

It is much faster than the smart tv integration in my current 4K TV. I much prefer Google's interface as well. Great product overall. A bit pricey, but it was worth it. Only gripe is that I have to restart it occasionally due to an audio glitch. Other than that, great product!

I have fireTV in many rooms and I thought I would try the Chromecast. I think it's better and easier to work with and now that the remote is included it's way better. I still have trouble streaming but just might be TV. Recommend it

I love my Chromecast with Google TV, I recently switched from an amazon fire TV box and the I immediately noticed the difference. Not only does the Chromecast connect me to my apps it also connects directly to my Google Home Hub and allows for hands free operation. I have no problem with freezing or lag as I did with the amazon fire tv box. Great addition to any TV

Used this for making my monitor into a TV, when I'm not using it for work. Power and speed of Google TV is the same as if it was built into the monitor.

Very easy to set up and use. Stream all types of apps with crystal clear picture and clear sound. The remote is a solid build and fits great in your hand. If there is something negative to say is the volume button are a bit of a pain. they are on the side with small buttons and I hit both at times
