Lightning fast, easy setup and the excellent Google TV platform makes this one a no-brainer. It may cost a little bit more than some of the competition but it is very much worth it. Pick this thing up today!

Pros: Beats the Samsung smart tv's software. So far it has the streaming apps that I've wanted that the tv didn't have. You can also run things like game streaming software on it as well, for example moonlight. Can also connect bluetooth devices to it, which can be useful. Cons: Kind of annoying how easy it is to drop the remote though, but that may have diy remedies. I wish there were more android software app selection. Could also maybe use a dedicated play/pause button. The center button works fine, but play/pause buttons can act differently in apps than select/enter buttons.

It's like the world of streaming has finally been opened up to my home! I used to have the old Chromecast where you could only stream by connecting your phone or device. This is a revelation and worth every penny.

Have been using for around a month. Trying to get away from cable. Google TV's interface is modern, easy to navigate. The hardware works great, no issues. WiFi is solid. I only wish the controller wasn't so slippery.

Purchased two. Installed one that was able to reach. Remote is simple to use. Enjoying the chromecast with Google tv.

I have both a Roku and a Firestick on other televisions and this is by far faster and better. Remote is simple and same. Perfect for steaming!

Excellent stream service. This one is better than the last version. It feels faster and smooth on the menu. Quick response and don't need to connect the smartphone.

Has Google TV, which was my main reason for buying it. Had a tcl with roku and recently got a tcl with google tv and liked the Google tv much better than roku, so bought this for my other dumb TV. Cons: When setting to 4k 30hz, it'll revert back to 1080p for some reason which I haven't figured out yet. Others online also seem to have the same problem. I also use a generic usb c to gigabit ethernet adapter to make it hard wired. It dropped the wired connection a couple of times when it goes to sleep and wakes back up, had to power off and on for it recognize the adapter again. Also read this happens to others. Solution for me was to disable the sleep timer. Also, can't seem to control it from my phone, so if I lose the remote, probably would need to buy another. Can't seem to cast from my phone to it either. I hardly ever cast anything, so doesn't bother me, but not sure if it's due to the ethernet adapter or what, but won't work and i dont care enough to try it on wifi. Other than that, works as expected.

My first Chromecast 4K, HDR. Now I got a second one for home. I will tell for me the best feature is to have a Bluetooth connection. I connected my B&O headphone very easy, you don't need to fine a app for. The remote is very good design and easy to use, thank you Google team.

This is an enhance version of Chromecast Ultra. It takes more time to setup. It is more like an Android TV Box with google assistance. The speed is smooth, connection is decent.

This thing is great. Made a smart tv out of an older (8 yrs?) unsmart (dumb?) tv. Can now stream Apple, Prime, Netflix, etc. Great gadget. For the price, truly a no brainer.

This is an excellent streaming device for anyone, especially someone already into the Google ecosystem. Expandable due to the use of USB C, All my content, old school emulators, Stadia, GeForce Now. What's not to love

Happy with it. Works well to control the tv and sounds system. I like the remote. The only thing that I do not really like is to have to login to all the apps even if you start the stream from the phone.

I love it. Has made life much more easy, and I can throw all those remote controllers in the bottom drawer now and never have to search for the right one to use again because Chromecast has me covered!

I use this for an old tv to get all the new apps and it works great. The UI is solid and can be customized. Most apps you can't get from a tv app store is available to download with this.
