It works. Setup was easy enough. Google wants a little more info than is needed to watch TV but you are able to opt out.

I have an older smart tv, but this made it an awesome smarter tv! Definitely recommend if you want to cast from your phone to your tv.

Upgrade any TV for cheap! Instead of using a smart tv's apps and eco system. Google TV opens everything fast and has an amazing interface.

I've been using Google Chromecast (generation 1 and 2) and Google Home Mini for a few years and thought it was time to upgrade my setup. I did my homework by going over several product reviews and videos. So glad I settled on the Chromecast with Google TV. Wifi setup was straightforward, as was setting up my Google Home app. What I had to get used to was signing up and logging in to other apps, and navigating to all the free tv/videos I wanted. Not hard to do, but a different experience. I'm still working on optimizing my device and looking forward to adding more apps. Got to remember to clear the cache once in a while whenever navigation gets a tad slow.

Must have wonderful device. This is better than the fire stick

Great for the price. Not as good as the more than twice as costly Apple TV. Only real drawback is the creaky hollow feeling remote compared to the work of art included with the Apple TV. Consider your ecosystem as well. Apple products don’t really cast to a chromecast. I’m using it on a Samsung tv that has airplay already though. I’d pay $20 more for one with a sturdier metal remote.

A little odd at first with the location of volume buttons, and set up can take a while Depending on how many apps you have, but overall a better product that fire stick and easy to navigate between apps.

Amazing. The aggregator interface allows me to see all the shows and movies from all my services in one screen. It is pretty useful.
