The best streaming device at that price point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve tried nearly every streaming device there is, and this has to be the best option at a reasonable price. Price aside, I’d give the win to the Apple TV, but relative to Fire TV and Roku, the Chromecast + Google TV is far better. The UI is simple and intuitive and not flooded with ads. The device runs pretty smoothly and the video quality is solid.

It connects to all the apps my family uses and works 99% of the time. We do have the occasional issue with connecting to wifi but unplugging and pluffing it back in does the trick every time this happens.

The OS is awesome and the interface is clean and simple to use. The two things that kept this from being a five-star review are the fact that the USB power on the back of the TV didn't power the device and I had to plug it into the wall instead. The other thing is that the remote slips out of your hand easily and is impossible to see in the dark. It would be great if they would've added some backlighting for it. Either way, this is some legit competition for AppleTV, which I have three of.

The UI is much improved and it feels similar to navigating the guide channel on a traditional cable provider. The remote is cute, but the volume button is a pain to operate. I need to use two hands so it doesn't slip out of my hands. You can't plug it into a spare usb port on your tv. It needs an outlet. A task made more difficult by how short the included power cord is.
