It's easy to cast your phone to this device. There are some bad applications for streaming services but other than that it runs well.

The best Chromecast yet. I highly recommend it. The remote control is the best. I wish I could program the buttons to my liking but I understand that is a feature that might be available in the future. If you have an Older TV and especially if it's 4K this is the way to go.

Chrome Cast watching is the greatest for all kinds of shows from art classes and musical performances, including live operas. So easy to setup too. Being able to project onto my big screen helped me get through the pandemic.

The resolution is as promised. It's easy to use, and I had zero issues getting it set up and linked to my google account. However, it frequently lags and glitches. When its working its fantastic! Unfortunately it may take a bit to make it stop glitching and enjoy the show. Also, it has all these apps, is a google device, yet i cant download the xfinity stream or motortrend+ apps on it and still need another device to watch either of those.

The best streaming media device you can own. Google has figured out how to bring all of your services together to allow you to discover a large library of entertainment. The new Google Chrome Cast is fast, and quick you will have a new appreciation for television again.

I ordered this to replace an older streaming device. It was getting slow, so I decided to get this version of the Chromecast since it has google TV. The most annoying part was setting up the device. You have to have a smartphone to set it up. You need to download an app and scan the QR code. It took a lot longer than I wanted since It needed to download some updates. However once I updated it, everything has been working well. Sometimes, when I stream videos, it randomly stops and has to load and reload multiple times. I think it depends on the app because some apps don't have that problem. The other issues I have are plugging it into the HDMI port and the remote. You only have to do it once, so it's not a huge deal. it was only more difficult for me since my tv is mounted to the wall and there is little clearance. If I had to do it again, I would've gotten a HDMI extension cable and plugged it into that. The remote works, but it's too small and slippery. I have to be extra careful since the bottom is rounded and has fallen out of my hand several times. It would be easier to handle if it was bigger or the bottom was flat.

Amazing little device. I have four of them and they make my life so seamless. I'm fairly far into The Google ecosystem with YouTube TV and YouTube premium and some nest products and they all work great. Only four stars out of five because occasionally YouTube premium won't sign in for some reason and I get ads.

Useful even if you already have a smart TV, in my opinion its faster and the apps are always up to date. I got this by $39 and the delivery was super fast. The 'negative' thing you cant use the port usb on TV to power the device.

I've used firesticks in the past but I won't go back after getting a Chromecast. Hooks up to all my other google devices and it easy to travel with.

This has exceeded my expectations tenfold. It literally has all the streaming services including HBO Max that Fire sticks don't have and Kodi which you don't need a roundabout way to install. Then if u have an Android phone, casting is real simple. Best purchase I had in a long while

Excellent device. Turns basic LED TV into streaming, smart TV with minimal setup. Like Google TV as it carries all the top streaming channels. This was for my sister—she is ecstatic to have Discovery Plus and other apps in addition to cable TV. Recommended.

This newest version is far superior to the old version that required you to use your phone to cast. We have a few of the earlier iterations of chromecast and I’m ready to upgrade all of them to this version. The remote is simple and easy to use; even children can figure it out.

Works well with both of my TVs Hisense and Sanyo. It was fairly simple to set up. Remote is compatible and will turn the TV on and off as well as adjust the volume. The remote has a button on it to activate voice control but you can't use voice control from other devices.

Excellent, we enjoy with this device. We watch everything we want. My family is happy.

The setup was straightforward. I had some trouble opening the remote control to insert the batteries but this was a minor problem. Logging into the different streaming services was also easy. It was difficult to find some apps, though, such as the MasterClass app.

Works as expected. Very responsive. I ended up replacing all the Fire sticks in my home because these are much faster. It's nice being able to cast from my phone or just use the remote. Definitely recommend if you are invested in the Google ecosystems.

Very easy to set up. the voice search is pretty cool. As with all Google devices, it knows all of your accounts and searches them for whatever movie or show you are looking for. Connectivity is very solid. Plus you can control your tv's power and volume with it.

Plus: Home screen that gives you previews of what is trending or new. Hooks up with Google Assistant and comes in handy to control the TV from anywhere. It saves preferences and profiles. You can even watch TikTok on it. You can also talk into the remote as you would your phone when using Google Assistant. The Youtube and Netflix buttons come in handy because for whatever reason after watching a show we usually default to opening one of those 2 apps. Cons: I like the simplicity of only the 2 streaming service buttons, but part of me wonders what if we had more (such as hulu, hbo, disney etc) plus The navigation buttons are very similar to an old ipod (button with circular directional surrounding). They look and feel nice, but at times the buttons mash and you try to move right but end up moving down or up. That is the only reason why i gave a 4 star, if the buttons didnt mash i would give it 5 stars all the way!

We finally cut the cord! So got this to be able to watch YOUTUBE tv with out casting. Like it so much bought a second one for the other t.v!

THE BEST $50 STREAMER OUT! I'm a bit of a addict when it comes to these devices. I own them all, from the Shield Pro, to a few of those Android TV Boxes you see on Amazon and most everything in between. Believe me when I say this is the most complete device at the $50 price point.
