Only problem is you need to find an outlet but always one near the TV.

Not as good as the more than twice as costly Apple TV. Only real drawback is the creaky hollow feeling remote compared to the work of art included with the Apple TV. Consider your ecosystem as well. Apple products don’t really cast to a chromecast. I’m using it on a Samsung tv that has airplay already though. I’d pay $20 more for one with a sturdier metal remote.

Compared with Chromecast Ultra, this model is better other than ethernet connection. But you can buy a usb-c based hub that provides faster ethernet connection if you really need the wired connection. My only complaint is the Google should provide a version of Chrome suitable for TV boxes. You can side-load many apps. If I am tied to Apple ecosystem exclusively, I'd go with a Roku product, for others, this should be the product to have

Received software update right out of the box. My only complaint is this device will hang for a few seconds after leaving an app. hopefully an update will fix this issue.

Thanks for your valued feedback. We're sorry for the hanging issue with your Chromecast with Google TV.
You may try performing the steps below to try and fix the issue:
- Ensure that your Chromecast is connected to your 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- If it does not work, you may try restarting your Chromecast by going to Settings > System > Restart.
- If it's still unresolved, perform a factory reset on the Chromecast with Google TV.
a. While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV, hold down the button on the Chromecast device for at least 25 seconds or until the solid LED light turns into a flashing red light.
b. Once the LED light turns blinking white and the TV goes blank, release the button. The Chromecast device will begin the reboot sequence.

The features and benefits make this a top pick in my book for streaming boxes. I love the voice command features the utilize the remote control voice command button, but also the Google home integration that allows you to tell Google to do functions for you. This box allows you to link most, if not all off your other streaming services, and creates a home hub of all movies and shows integrated into one interface. If you want better functionality, and a seemless hub of streaming services, get it. You won't be disappointed!!!
