Positive: We’re huge fans of our chrome casts because we haven’t paid for cable in 5 years. I’m also an apple person, and this is way better than the Apple TV. I love that you can talk into the remote to avoid keyboards. I also love having all our streaming services and “currently watching” shows in one place. We also love that you can say a movie title into the remote and it will pull up what streaming services you can find it on. Negative: Sound doesn’t work on some shows and movies. I was reading about it and it’s way over my head, but it seems that it can’t play certain sound types or qualities? If we run into that issue, we end up casting it to our tv’s built in chrome cast. But it’s annoying when it happens. We hope they come out with an update to fix the issue.

After moving from a tv with Chromecast built in to one without, I am so thankful for this. Easy to use and setup. Makes it so easy to play thing from your phone or other Google Home connected devices to the TV.

The Google TV user interface is really good and the remote also has a good feel to it but I don't like the fact that there is a dedicated Netflix button because I don't use Netflix but If you do your might find it useful.

If you liked any of the original chromecast then you'll love having the remote and the apps instead of having to cast something from a phone or computer.

I own several android tv boxes and this one blows them out of water mainly because of the chromecast functionalities. Compared with Chromecast Ultra, this model is better other than ethernet connection. But you can buy a usb-c based hub that provides faster ethernet connection if you really need the wired connection. My only complaint is the Google should provide a version of Chrome suitable for TV boxes. You can side-load many apps. If I am tied to Apple ecosystem exclusively, I'd go with a Roku product, for others, this should be the product to have
