Started with Roku, then Fire Stick, not the Chromecast with Google TV. This controller is by far the most intuitive and can control the sound system at the same time which puts it ahead of the other brands in my mind. The controller is sized well and the shortcut buttons to Netflix and YouTube are a great add. The days of four or five controller set up are a distant memory and my wife is dang happy now. I use the Sonos Arc and Sub with this and all work well.

Google TV has a simple and easy to use interface. Recommendations are useful and overall the Chromecast works great. There's no airplay support.

The price would suggest that it's a barebones set with minimal features and mediocre quality, but... After getting it all set up and streaming some UHD content, I'm impressed with this TV at this price point - especially when you consider the cost of a Roku Ultra (the most equivelant to the features on this TV, like ethernet connectivity) - it's like getting a 43" TV for $200. Time will tell how reliable it is, but right now - I'm impressed.
