My 2017 high end samsung tv has the worst software ever. So when google announced this chromecast google tv device, I ordered it right away. The setup very easy to complete. This device has become the best $50 device I have bought in a while. Now I can watch Netflix, etc. in 4k/atmos/hdr directly without turning on my ps4 or xbox one--so I ended up saving some electricity also :)

I would say this is one of good 4k streaming devices for the price. The set up was simple & straight forward with no issues. My wifi did drop a few times during the setup. So I had to repeat some of those steps again

This is my brand new way of TV and all my other platforms I use even the Apple stuff love the controller love the UI way to go google

I love my Chromecast that I had to buy a second one for the bedroom so that I could continue enjoying watching shows and movies while even in bed

It was either this or a nvidia shield. This is just as good for much less. Best streaming device on the market hands down.

Ended up replacing an Apple TV with this device. Considering it's a fraction of the cost, it's so much more usable than the Apple TV.

Great product. Love the interface, just google needs to work on honing the software to match Apple TV’s robust features. However, for the price this a great product and I highly recommend.

Works excellently, particularly after being arranged to its best advantage in home theater setup by Geek Squad techs making on-site visit.

Simply the best casting product there is. The Google system works great the remote is tiny and you don't even have to use it.

Love the new interface. Very user friendly. The new guide integrates with YouTube TV very well so highly suggest using that service with this product.

Bought when my Nvidia shield stopped powering up. Works great for the price! If you're just looking to stream, you can't go wrong.

This is a great add-on. I first purchased one for the bedroom tv and went back for one for living room tv. Very easy to install and a cinch to use!

Decided on this over a competing product from another manufacturer as I had hoped integrating it with my existing Google Home setup would be easier. While setup was a breeze, I've been having some annoying issues. First, I've connected this directly to my soundbar, which it passes through to my TV. This causes some issues where the soundbar volume continues to display on and off in the top right corner of the TV until completely powered off and back on. This issue did not exist prior to purchasing the Chromecast with Google TV. Second, voice activation of just about anything seems intermittent at best. I'll often say, "hey Google! Open Netflix on the living room TV," and it will say it cannot find the device, etc. The same phrase repeated activates the TV. Occasionally, it will say it has turned it on, but the screen is still black. This may seem trivial to some but why even attempt this kind of technology if it doesn't work the majority of the time? Finally, I was intrigued by the idea of the Chromecast acting as a hub for all of my streaming services and keeping track of shows I was enjoying. This doesn't seem to work with every streaming service, nor does it always remember where I am in a show I'm watching. In the end, I usually end up opening the streaming service directly to get back to my shows. This isn't a huge deal on it's own; it's how I'd normally interact with those services, but one of the reasons I bought this device was for the ability to track everything from one screen. All told, I'm only disappointed with this device as I wonder if the higher-priced competitor would have been a better buy. I can't argue with the value proposition here, and at least Google is a large enough company that I assume they'll try to iron these kinks out...
