Best of all, the movies show their Rotten Tomatoes ratings. The 4K UHD is awesome on Curiosity Stream. My TV smart APP couldn't handle this but the Chromecast displays without pause. My only disappointment is there is no app for Watch TCM, even though there is one for my android tablet.

The overall interface is designed well and it's easy to add accounts and apps to make an Apple TV-like experience. Now that bad: The app support is hit-or-miss and seems to break with updates. HBO Max app only outputs stereo sound but if you cast to the device from a phone you get Atmos/5.1. Same with other services such as Movies Anywhere you have to cast from the phone to get HDR/5.1 audio because the native apps don't currently support it which defeats the point of the new device.

The limited sound issue you're having could be related to the sound setting for your Chromecast with Google TV. You can customize your sound format on your Chromecast with Google TV by adjusting your advanced sound settings as shown below:
- Go to Settings.
- Select Display and Sound.
- Select Advanced sound settings.
- Select Format selection.
- Then select between Automatic, Never, or Manual to choose formats from available formats.
- Under the various sound settings range, toggle the buttons to either on or off. For example, Dolby Atmos in Dolby Digital Plus, AAC, Dolby Digital.

The internal storage capacity of the Chromecast with Google TV is 8gb, and while adding external storage or Secure Digital (SD) card to load content isn’t supported, there are more than 6,500 apps that you can use on Google TV. If there are issues with performance of your Chromecast, we suggest clearing the app cache that might help as having a sizable amount of cache stored would affect its performance. See the steps below:
- From the Google TV home screen, in the top right, go to the user profile icon and select Settings.
- Select Apps and choose the app you're having trouble with.
- If you can't find it, select See all apps.
- Select Clear cache and then Ok.
- If clearing the app cache didn't work, you can try to reset your Chromecast with Google TV by following this step by step guide here: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/6254654

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Google Chromecast with Google TV is fast and responsive and once you let Google's algorithms discover your favorite genres, shows, and movies, you'll get good recommendations from a variety of streaming and online services. My one CON about the device is the remote control. I don't like the way the volume rocker is placed on the side being that the control itself is so small. Also, the placement of the power button is awkward being in the lower left corner.....I would have preferred up top somewhere for easier access.
