Almost perfect

Videos were constantly buffering, apps freezing even after updating. No other streaming devices were experiencing this issue on the wifi, not even the tv it was connected to. My only other issue is that the profiles are pretty much worthless. They only offer you recommendations, not customization.

Really though, this is a great product for those tv's in your house that are still perfect for what you use them for and don't need updating but you would like to have all the apps your main tv has. We use it for all the streaming services on top of YoutubeTV as well. Can't beat it.

Better than Roku, solid connection, good resolutio

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I installed this on my television that already has embedded Roku, due to limitations on streaming services carried by Roku along with the tendency of the Roku tv to lose its Wi-fi connection regularly. I've been really happy with the Chromecast device. The resolution appears better than the Roku on the streaming services, and it's always maintained a solid connection to my 5 Ghz Wi-fi network. I've already added a second one for the main bedroom tv.

My TV doesn't have access to all the apps because of its age. This works quite well assuming you don't have 20 people on wifi. I hate needing Google home on the phone though.
