Works great i like it better then the firestick the remote feels like its built better and the set up and controls are alot more fluid

Best smart stick I own. Tried Amazon, then two different Roku sticks, both of which are good, but for me Chromecast allows me to download German TV networks like ARD app so can view live and recorded television programming if I change VPN over to Germany. Other sticks do not have the apps I require. Running great thus far.

Awesome Streamer. Had to get this cause Hbo max isn't available on my LG oled tv yet. Setup was super easy cause I already use the google nest home ecosystem in my home. Took about 15 mins with all the downloads I had to do. Plays all my apps that I use. Hbo max, netflix, youtube, youtube music, Hulu, Disney plus, Amazon prime, Paramount plus formerly cbs all access. All of them work on this device plus I can cast from my phone's & tablets. I Was able to setup the included remote to my tv & my vizio sound bar. The built in google assistant button on the remote works flawlessly and I can control my cameras, smart switches, plugs & lights with it. I'm extremely satisfied with this new version of android tv that google is now calling Google tv. It isn't full of bloat ware and runs very smoothly & fast. I liked it so much I went out and bought another one for my mother. I did read several reviews before buying this product and all seemed pretty positive of course there are some cons with this device, but for what I use it for none bother me. From what I've read this device has 2gb of ram & 8gb of rom with only 4gb of rom available to the user. This can be upgraded with a passthrough usb-c hub from what reviewers have tested. So you could upgrade the rom to whatever your hub can handle i.e. 256gb or more. I just wish google would of made a usb port or micro sd card slot available with this from the factory. There isn't any ethernet ports on this unit but again reviewers have found passthrough hubs with ethernet do work with this streamer. I have found that the wifi on this works amazingly well & it seems to support 802.11ac. Also you have the ability to side load apps and launchers & use Vpn's on this device.

Worked great! I even used a USB-C docking hub to connect ethernet, keyboard, mouse and a USB drive. The response speed was good and I was able to play my Plex media server with no issues. The interface was easy and the remote even has a volume control capable of controlling my Reciever amplifier.

Over the summer, We ditched Fios Cable (kept gigabit with Nest Mesh router) and upgraded Hulu+ Live tv for a net savings of around $90. At the time, we just used the applications through the Xbox’s, and I would have been ok just sticking with that but my wife missed having the remote, and the Xbox menus and remotes and controllers were a hassle to navigate and functionality was lacking. So I did some research and saw Google had upgraded the chrome cast plugin to a firestick like device and since we have a full blown “sponsored by google” setup already in the house it seemed like that was the way to go. Best decision I could have made. Improvements would be a way to map shortcut buttons instead of having only YouTube and Netflix as options. I would even like if there were shortcut buttons for google/Nest home items. The Google Tv interface is great when it comes to consolidating shows and movies across different apps for picking up where you left off and what app you were using or looking for something new. You can even search for shows and movies on your phone, computer, tablet, or speaker and add to your watchlist and they are added to your watchlist on the menu. Call me easily entertained but I thought that was incredible. I definitely see room for improvement as the small remote is efficient enough for what you need but I would love one with more buttons for mapping and integrating Google Home options. Especially if Hulu Tv ever comes out with the option for a buttons to go to previous channel! Long story short I don’t even use the apps on the Xbox anymore, the integration with our Google/Home Nest setup is great,

Substantially better than the older model chromecast. Don’t have to use my phone as a remote!!

Easy set up. Works great with so many apps. We bought this for our second tv to work with Tablo to cut the cord from cable. This is a great upgrade for the money. We had the original google chrome cast and it still works after all these years. Thanks google!!

Great way to make a TV smart or a dumb TV better. Just bought this after seeing the performance of a friend's Sony with Google TV compared to my LG TV with WebOS. Brought me up to SPEED. And I LOVE the Continue Watching feature across all my streaming services on one home screen.

I like it better than Roku for the user interface as well as longer battery life in the remote. We had to change the battery in the Roku remote almost every 2 months or so. While I was initially bummed that I would have to connect the Chromecast to power (whereas the Roku was powered by USB), I look forward to not getting the message that the Roku was overheating.

I rushed home feeling like Christmas morning to install my “new toy” and I absolutely love it!! Especially helpful since my tv lags a bit, the Google Home TV makes it a seemless experience! Merging all your favorite streaming services onto your home screen and having the option to sign in to multiple google profiles/accounts. Thank you, Google!!

We bought this to fill in some of the features our TV didn’t come with. It works great for screen casting from the Quest VR headset and also is a nice way to stream our PlayStation in other rooms of the house without having to move the PlayStation around and deal with all the cables. It hides nicely behind the TV so cable management isn’t an issue.

The menu is easy to use. You can load 3rd party apps. If you like ROKU or Firestick you will love this device. It also has Chromecast built in. Great price.

This is a game changer. I bought my second a few months ago. I love them so much. I went in to check on the pricing of a third one Nvidia Shield. And decided to give this a try I'm so glad I did. My only complaint would be that I've only had it for a couple of days and the keys are already staining. I may have handled some turmeric. But I take that everyday so it would be a problem if it gets worse,

I like it. Was it wprth $50? Maybe... but I wanted it and I don't regret it. I have Roku TV but I prefer this because it takes recommendations from across all my streaming apps and some from other apps it thinks I might like. I'm shocked the stuff I find to watch. Its super simple too: literally, plug in, sign in and done. Just have to login on your streaming apps.

I've stated in other BestBuy reviews, I'm a Google fan boy. And this thing lives up to expectations. We have several on various TVs. The interface is FAR superior to ANY of the built in TV stuff. I bought a TV with Roku recently to give it a try... not bad, but I still prefer the Google TV experience.

Love it! So easy to install and set up. Also great homepage. I have an older TV and it has great picture. Love the suggestions for things to watch. Very happy customer!

THIS! This worked REALLY great. I wanted it for the Plex app because other streaming services wouldn't play it. I researched and this came up as a viable option. The remote is small and basic but has everything you need to navigate all your streaming services. Sure enough... One of the best investments I've made. The product is user friendly. I love it!

I have been using this since April 2021 and I love it! It’s better than the firestick I had. I am greatly enjoying it paired with my Google home products as I can tell my Google home to turn on /off my den TV. The setup was super quick and easy- including pairing my TV to the remote for audio/power button functionality. The only thing I don’t like is how to white remote buttons become discolored. In about two months they have become discolored and using wipes has not helped. Makes it look kind of icky.

It’s a high quality product for under $40. I managed to get this on a sale and have bought another since. I did manage to get a few months of free YouTube premium and music, so that paid for itself. I do like the remote and that it uses regular batteries (AAA) unlike the Apple TV remote (plugs into a usb outlet).
