I find myself having to stop the casting, rebooting the bothe units and try casting again

I have changed all my rokus to these, finally a chromecast thats worth its weight against roku

It's very difficult to get my device to stream to this. I love that I can use Disney plus on voice command, but it does not play automatically; I still have to get the remote to select the user or profile. It's a little annoying, but it's ok overall. I'll eventually take the time to figure out all the settings. The volume keys don't always work either.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear of your difficulty streaming content using Chromecast with Google TV.
Your Chromecast with Google TV was intended to play 4K video content with your favorite streaming sites. But this requires a higher Internet bandwidth and we recommend a minimum speed of 20 Mbps connection or higher.
Resetting your Chromecast to factory default settings may also fix the issue. You may try out the steps here:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings.
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device.
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

Useful, But Could Be Much Better

Voice control is good. But usability has lots of room for improvement. For example: channel up/down needs to be added. Would be much better if it returned to the YouTubeTV Live channel when you turn it back on. Add more buttons which are user programable, like to go to Prime. Bottom line: Better than a phone for YouTubeTV, but not as functional as the cable remote you are accustomed to.
