Chromecast with Google TV (4K) works with most monitors and TVs having an HDMI port. To ensure compatibility, we recommend checking if your current setup meets the following requirements for the best experience when using Chromecast:
- A mobile phone or tablet running Android 6.0 or later, or iPhone or iPad with iOS 12.0 or later version.
- An active Gmail account. You may encounter issues using a G-Suite account.
- Ensure that you have an updated version of the Google Home app.
- A high speed Internet connection of at least 20 Mbps. Mobile hotspots and Captive portal networks are not compatible with Chromecast devices.
- A strong Wi-Fi network connection.
- A TV with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 1.3 or higher built-in. HDCP 2.2 is required to support 4K content. Most televisions that are five years old or newer and have HDMI ports will have at least one port that supports HDCP 2.2.
- Your mobile device and Chromecast device should be within 15 feet (4 meters) of each other. The Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in should be 15 feet (4 meters) away from the router, or less.
- Make sure both your Chromecast device and mobile device are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network channel, either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz.

Great streaming Device

It connects to all the apps my family uses and works 99% of the time. We do have the occasional issue with connecting to wifi but unplugging and pluffing it back in does the trick every time this happens.

They haven't had buffering and issues with speed yet. They do dislike the remote as it is small, easy to lose, and doesn't have all of the buttons they are used to.

Integrates with Google home stuff. Very tiny form factor so that I can pack it on vacation if I want. I love that certain apps share your browsing history so that you can browse across services and get recommendations based on what you watch across services. Wish more services would share the data so it worked better.
