Excellent Smart TV device, very happy with the performace.

i loved this chromecast. mostly because it bring all my streaming to one screen, so you can see shows from netflix and hulu at the same time. but the remote stopped working, and its basically pointless to buy a new a remote instead of buying a whole new chromecast. wont spend the money again for it not to last a year

I installed this ony Roku TV as it is the preferred OS we use with all of our Google IoT products at home. Hoping for Google to add Wi-Fi 6 one day.

A very capable device if you ask me. For the size, not sure if its up to par with nvidia shield tv... but is a very well built device and the flexibility and device size makes it very solid. The control makes it easy to control and not depend on your phone to cast stuff completely. I like this next iteration of this wonderful concept.

This will turn a dumb tv into a smart tv. Worth the cash to access all the streaming options you would want.

New Google TV is great. Was using a Mibox before this and that was pretty decent but had trouble with the chromecast function when I needed it. This one hasn't had any issues using both Google TV and chromecast capabilities. Other than the volume rocker buttons placed awkwardly, I think this is a perfect TV device.

I purchased this to replace the Roku interface on my TCL tv due to it slowing down and being somewhat unresponsive at times. So far, this device has lived up to the promises made by Google. There have been a few issues with internet connectivity and buffering issues, but those are few and far between. I do wish there was profile switching for this that live with multiple people and want to have their own recommendations and use their own streaming accounts.

Works Great! I was able to cast from chrome from my laptop.

This just works. All your streaming services in one place. Recent updates added Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. These were the only things missing at launch. I had previously used an Nvidia Shield Pro, but a recent software update bricked it. Making the transition to this product was a breeze.

Poor Performance when connected to Home Theater Receiver Yamaha RX A8A to use with Home Theater Setup. Couldn't be fast enough to switch display between this and another source. Same receiver took inputs from Apple TV 4K and Xbox 360 without skipping a bit. Called google support to help provide some assistance on what could be going on with Chromecast with Google TV 4K, but they gave and offered to send this one back to them before sending me a another one. While they may be good about their word in sending me a new device, I didn't feel like going through the hassle. Cons: low storage. If you have 10-15 apps you'd like to load up on this, then it leaves no room for cache it needs to store and eventually max out, so it would lead to poor performance later regardless. There are way to add storage. See countless videos on YouTube. But you run risk of further performance delay when it needs to high bandwith for read/write and display. When it did work for me, the HDR made the entire display poor. 4.4.4 setup on this couldn't even handle it. Apple TV 4K works without skipping a beat. pros - having remote with assistant button is great as it can help you with your existing home automation with google home. May be nVidia Shield could be a better option if one needs "Android" echo system. Other options may be Fire TV 4k Stick or Cube. This one is now used for my old "dumb" TVs! May be should utilize my totaltech membership on this! Wonder what would BestBuy has to say about this device being returned to them and getting new one on the spot!
