This is perfect since my 10 year old samsung smart tv deleted many of my apps off of the tv. So eventually the tv with the google chromecast will go in the bedroom and we'll go to best buy to buy a new tv for the living room. They had great selection and prices for TV's.

I dont know but this one has software issues and some times the cromecast doesnt work when casted from a cellphone and sometimes it does not appear on the list of available chromecast devices until its rebooted. Firmware is updated to the latest one but issue is still there.

Make sure that both your phone/tablet and Chromecast are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and you are using a cast-enabled app listed here: https://store.google.com/us/product/chromecast_apps.
We suggest trying these simple steps that may help:
With the Chromecast Voice Remote:
- In the upper right of your TV screen, select your profile and then Settings .
- Select System and then About and then Factory Reset.
From the Chromecast device:
- While the Chromecast is plugged into the TV and powered, press and hold the button on the back of the Chromecast. The LED will start blinking yellow.
- When the LED light turns solid white, release the button and the Chromecast will then reset.

I’ve been using this for a month and I absolutely love the snappiness of the android interface. My only complaint is the position of the volume buttons. The placement of these buttons are a little awkward. It’s really hard to not press other buttons when trying to adjust the audio volume. All and all it is a very good product that supports 4K output.
