Love it. I have several Apple TVs, had older Rokus and older Chromecasts and usually prefer my Apple TV but this new Chromecast is a nice upgrade. Interface is slick and the remote is so much better than the previous Apple TV and still may be better than the newest Apple TV I just purchased.

I bought this for my 97 year-old mother in law and she loves it! She uses the voice controls primarily, but the remote is easy to use.

This chromecast combines what I love about the older chromecast with a remote and interface! I love it! It's easy to setup, use, and it works exactly as expected without lag or excessive loading times like other streaming players

The best Google TV device besides Nvidia Shield

Google gas finally added a bluetooth/IR remote to their cheap but excellent steaming device. With the newer Android TV interface, scrolling through my video services/apps has never been easier. Setup was a breeze and it's an excellent choice to use with an older television or in rooms that lack cable tv.

    Great little streaming device

The new Chromecast appears to be the ultimate streaming device for all your favorite video subscription services. The setup process from the software side can take a while at first, but is pretty simple to use after that. Only issue I've experienced so far is it does tend to display notifications randomly throughout watching every now and then saying the device has been connected to the internet as if it somehow loses connection with the Wi-Fi then reconnects itself. I haven't had this issues with any other of my devices connected to the Wi-Fi that are even further from the router, and I've even tried disconnecting from the network and manually setting it up again but will still get the notifications popping up in the top right randomly while watching something. Thankfully the stream is never interrupted so its not that big of an issue currently.

    It’s ok. Nice UI.

I like the UI. The remote is tiny, which isn’t my favorite. We got this for our bedroom, where we rarely watch tv. My wife went to go turn it on today (we purchased the sunrise color Oct.10th) and it said it had corrupt data and needed to be factory reset. It’s probably been used 5 times in that month and a half. Not the best sign. Would return back to Google and just get another fire-stick in all honesty.

Great device to keep you entertain for hours. Easy to use with the (Google Assistant) button on the remote. You can access most of the streaming platforms including your collection of Movies and Videos on your Google Play Store account and Youtube. You get a lot of features for the price. Highly recommend it.

Very please with this purche. I Bought this unit for a second TV in the house that isnt a smart TV. The first generation Chromecast was good and still serves us well in bonus room. This next generation chromcast is way better with it own GUI to navigate various apps without casting, but you cqn cast if that is what you prefer. I prefer using GUI over casting because i get a better experience than casting. My Sony TV remote works it with makes it a seeess experience.

I had the prior Chromecast. The Ultra has a remote control which we find very useful. The 4K was also something we wanted. The TV feature also remembers shows from different sources like Netflix, HBOmax, etc. Thus from the main screen you can instantly start a show from various sources. Setup was easy.

Made my old smart TV smart again. So easy to use and set up. It has free TV channels, and the remote is to useful, even had voice command to make searching easier. Highly recommend if you have an old TV that still works just doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the newer ones.

With different colors, you won’t mix up your remotes, should you have multiple remotes. Sync your tv and sound system to remote. Remote also works with Bluetooth, so you never have to worry about pointing it directly to the tv. Simple design. Plenty of apps you can download. Apps like Hulu, AppleTV, YouTube TV, Netflix, ESPN, Disney+. You can also rent movies thru GooglePlay. One complaint is the remote gets out of wack. Sometimes looses connectivity and will have to power cycle the device. Buttons will stop restonding. You will have to reset the system once a month or two.

Love this little streaming device. Has access to all my streaming services. Price is perfect. Wish UI was more streamlined. Controller was almost perfect if they made it programmable to choose which app to open and battery was rechargeable. Ability to use nest audio as movie speakers would be an amazing addition.

Just as easy to use as the original Chromecast, but with the added convenience of a remote. As a bonus, some of the phone apps will load on the streamer, so you don't even need to use your phone to browse and watch! I wish I could add a remote to my older Chromecast, because it adds so much convenience.

The Google chromecast was easy to install and set up. Streaming from the phone or the laptop was ok. The apps that come with it were not the greatest due to them not being able to load most of the time. But overall happy with the purchase. Mainly use it to stream games in the projector anyways. Also the remote control addition is a plus. Compared to older models that have to use your phone for everything.

Great upgrade from my OG chromecast. I like the option to have Dolby vision on all content but generally recommend to turn that feature off. Easy to set up and a bit snappier than ps4 streaming apps and about the same as my TV's built in apps. Nice for apps like Hulu, HBOMAX, VRV and others that aren't on my tv.

I bought this on a whim to replace my Fire Cube, which has been showing signs of slowing down with some pretty gnarly lag. The Chromecast has a beautiful and intuitive interface and is fast and snappy. No complaints here!

Really nice way to turn any TV into a smart TV, plus it hooks up really easily to any Google accounts. I had it hooked up to a Hisense 4K TV and it was significantly faster and more reliable than the built in smart apps. The remote is a nice touch but easily falls between the cushions.

I literally bought this to get the picture quality for the WW84 movie release on Christmas day. I have had my other chrome cast for 4 years and it worked great and has been sent to the guest room tv but MAN, this remote and the picture quality is insane! Suck it up and upgrade your Chromecast today!

This is great! it turned my old samsung tv (which had long been left behind as far as updates go) back into a smart tv! I'm able to control power/volume/input all from the remote or even voice control. I replaced a fire stick with the new chromecast and have no regrets. Con: I cannot connect the chromecast to an external bluetooth speaker when i throw movies on the outdoor projector. fix for 5 stars.
