I didn’t have a smart tv so I bought this to stream shows I usually watch on my app. Simple to use and set up.

Been using since I purchased and I'm quietly impressed. It needs a few improvements like storage size and stability to match up to my firestick but for being a fairly new attempt at on device streaming it is doing well

Purchased this to cast my phone to tv. Didn’t know it had its own google tv. I am pleased with this new google chromecast much better than older model.

Worked well for my parents who are older. It functions just like their android smart tv.

Remote pad too sensitive. Selects when not wanted. Good selection of apps but would like to have all that is available on Google Play Store. I still cannot replace my Roku or Firestick but great replacement for Chromecast.

We finally ditched our expensive satellite service thanks to our Chromecast! We joined the world of streaming without having to buy a brand new TV.

I remember buying the first generation Chromecast. I loved it but it sucked that I had to use my phone to cast media to my tv every time I wanted to watch on a bigger screen. This gives me the option to do either one.

This is AndroidTV with a new launcher rebranded as GoogleTV. It's a little confusing because I still have an old Logitech Revue which was GoogleTV before AndroidTV existed. Whatever...we all know Google has no direction at this point. I don't love the new layout and the fact that Google suggests programs to watch from sources I don't have like Disney+. I also really wish that they would support user profiles. I hate that half of the suggestions are based on what I watch and the other half are based in my spouse's VERY different viewing habits. Lastly, the remote is ok, but is missing an important feature... I'm using this in my bedroom since I have a shield tv pro in the living room. The remote can be programmed to control my sound bar AND my TV....just not at the same time. The power button will turn on ONE other device only, and for some reason I can't use HDMI CEC to have it auto power on the TV. So I still have to use my Logitech Harmony remote and then switch to the Google TV remote to use voice input. I'm going to try connecting a USB C hub with power delivery passthrough and connect ethernet and an always on microphone so I can initiate voice searches without the dumb provided remote. I'll update if I have success. It works on the Shield so I'm hopeful. Anyway, if you want a cheap HDMI dongle with 4K and HDR that will likely be supported for a while, this one is pretty good. It may not be the best solution for a power user but it's certainly good enough for the average person who just wants to watch YouTube and Netflix over WiFi.

I bought two of these, but I can't say I'm all that impressed by this iteration of Chromecast. The volume buttons are hard to press, the interface is slow and the power button doesn't always communicate with the TV. After going into the settings I found there was a update waiting and that seems to have helped with the slow interface and slow syncing when casting from my phone, but I. Still not impressed. I'm not returning because it still makes sense to have this Chromecast, I just wish they offered a more powerful version for more money.

The more I use it the more I like it as it provides an overlay control of all your other streaming services and a digital assistant..........bravo Google

a device with a good price and a great and intuitive software for me is the best in cost-benefit comparison.

Perfect for present i buy this for my uncle in chicago and he love the gogle cromcast. Now hecan watch Netflix Hulu and more.
