Outstanding device and extremely easy to use! Can set up in any room with zero issues and allows you to stream any where/any time!! Upgraded from first generation and have no regrets, especially with the new controller that it comes with which makes everything simple!!

I was streaming through my ps5 but it does not support atmos. I got this and everything is better. Great picture and great sound! The remote even turns on the rest of the devices

This Chromecast is the greatest thing since slice bread. I had the previous model and this one works so much better it's great that it has remote and it's voice activated there's so many much more functions I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family

This is a great upgrade to the previous Chromecasts where you could just cast to the dongle from your device. The Google TV UI integrates all your streaming choices together. The UI looks great and it's not sluggish at all. And, the remote is a great addition as well.

For the price, you get a solid interface and a very easy setup. Works pretty well with the Google home mesh network as well. I just wish it still had the same voice command functionality of the original chromecast.

Best 4k steaming device i have experienced.. Google knocked the competition out of park on this one… Easy of use with voice control .. Google home integration is best…

Overall excellent. Really like you can use an Ethernet connection or Wifi and both connect easily. Roku has a better homepage interface more like a Tablet or Cell Phone screen. The Google puts the apps all in a horizontal row and you have go through the row to get to the one you want. That is countered some by being able to use your voice to open an app however. The Google has some apps I use Roku does not. It moves between screens and apps quite quickly.

This is a great solution for older smart TVs where the screen size/tech isn't out of date but the built in smart TV software may be. Chromecast has a way faster interface and the old smart TV's OS that it is plugged into. The 4K is nice too.

This is an excellent device. It did take me a minute to setup, but once I got it connected to my wireless network, it functioned well. It's easy to use and nice to have access to everything in one place. And the remote is a good bonus.

A truly great streaming device which update have the potential to make even better. I've used this with a USB-C hub and connected a USB gamepad and ethernet for playing Asphalt 8, and I can connect bluetooth headphones in the settings and watch a program without disturbing others. I'm not a fan of the way it advertises services to which you don't subscribe, so I've mostly been running this new Chromecast in "app-only" mode so that it lets me just jump to the service I want to use. It's unfortunate that as of yet, it doesn't work with multiple Google accounts but it seems like that may be in the works. The handheld remote is very nice, although the TV input button doesn't work with my LG TV so I still need to keep my TV remote close by to switch to HDMI. You can also download Google's Android TV remote app if the Chromecast remote is out of reach and you have a pet on your lap and don't want to get up.

Much awaited improvement to the original Chromecast. The addition of Google TV and the remote is a game changer that makes the device so much easier to use. Seeing all your shows and watchlist items in a single view makes choosing what to watch so much easier.

I have a Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire. Adding the Google Chromecast with remote completes my streaming device library. I can honestly say I'm a fan of the user interface here over all the others. I also like how I can scan forward or backward and see a screenshot preview of where I'm at while I scan forward or backward. The only two critiques I would have is that I would really like to have the option to plug an Ethernet cable in as although I have great Internet, my WiFi signal on the TV where I installed this isn't the best of course high speed Internet access is paramount with a streaming device. My only other critique is that on Hulu the video and audio are slightly off which means you see lips move and hear audio slightly offset. This doesn't happen on ANY other apps other than Hulu and I can live with it. No issues on Vudu, NetFlix, Prime, Disney Plus, or YouTube TV.

Having the ability to cast content and also watch content in apps is amazing. This chromecast is fantastic and is a great value when comparing it to its competitors. The UI is relatively snappy and easy to use. The remote is also great and looks nice as well.

It’s a Big difference when you have access to a remote control. Although the remote looks and feel cheap. it lacks on sound quality, you have to keep on adjusting the volume every time the video plays an explosion or any other high volume sounds. It’s very easy to install and to use it’s features. If it wasn’t for the sound quality then it’ll had a 5 stars.

The Chromecast works very well. GoogleTV is a great interface for all my streaming services including YouTubeTV. Rarely have streaming trouble so far and interface is very user friendly.

I bought this as there was a deal to get 3 months of YouTube tv for half price. Its very fast and I like the feature that I can see contents from all streaming services on a single screen and I don't have to switch between services to watch.

The new Chromecast is wonderful. It includes a remote control , it makes everything easier to use in living room which the previous version could not. The Chromecast is better to carry on for my vacation. I can see Netflix and YouTube everywhere.

We recently cord-cut from satellite TV. One of my systems is using Nvidia Shield Android TV for a while now but for the other TV we got the Chromecast with Google TV. We are very happy with this device. It has a great price and works wonderfully. It is extremely fast compared to the Roku TV it is plugged into. Picture quality is top notch and so is the sound. The search function (voice or keyboard) which searches across many of the services we are subscribed to is very useful. We no longer care which service has what content, we are just asking to watch it and leave it to Google to show it.

This unit delivers the goods with Google TV. No issues with how many services it can connect to. And, it's quite fast and responsive. It would be a lot better, though, if the remote was bigger with buttons that say more - the icons are quite confusing, for example, the Power button is NOT for the Chromecast itself but for the TV. Also, when you first switch to the Chromecast input on the TV, the TV screen is blank, and it is unsure which button you need to press to wake up the Chromecast. I finally figured out I can just press the indented circle at the top. All of this could be helped with better instructions, but it comes only with a tiny booklet of how to connect it - and this booklet does not tell you the craziness you have to go through on-screen to get it fully configured and connected, including how you have to plug it into an actual wall power source rather than your TV's USB power - fortunately, I have an IT background so I could figure out what it wanted, but I pity the poor grandmothers of the world who try to install this on their own... Even so, once it is configured and connected, and once you figure out how to wake it up, it works like a charm...

This works pretty well, it's fast and plays back effectively every service out there. The remote is good and connects to a variety of devices. This is IMO the best media player out there.
