I got this as a gift and was a little skeptical being an Nvidia Shield user. All in all, after using it for a couple of months, I would say that it is not my second favorite device (after the Shield). While it does not have the power as an Nvidia Shield, the user interface is sleek and simple. Love the fact that is allows for both HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision; making a nice switch if you have multi brands of tv's in the house. The Sling TV integration is also a nice little touch. While some do not like the ads that come up; I like them, as it helps out picking through the multitude of content through various apps.

Google site shows that this device requires a TV with High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) 1.3 or higher built-in. So, I was really doubtful whether this will work on my old Sony TV from 2012. However, the device was easily detected by the TV and the remote control also became compatible with my TV. This is a very good product to convert your existing TV to a smart TV. Definitely recommended.

Great product. It's faster than your smart TV, and don't have any limitations on the apps that you can install and it is easy to use them where you left most of the time.

So this device has been running in the house for a few weeks now. There are definitely some upgrades from the Chromecast. You have a large array of apps and everything runs smoothly. Voice control is interesting and nice to not have to type all the time. Just speak and it records and searches. But there are some differences from my Chromecast as well. It seems that some of my preferred uses for my old Chromecast (streaming certain apps from PC) do not work on this device. It like my app doesn't detect a chromecast at all. I have found work arounds in most cases. But overall on most things it appears to work well. I will finish by saying the price is low considering what you are getting. Connection to wifi is strong. It won't run on USB power from TV so plan to have an additional wall socket available.

Very satisfied with Google TV and chromecast. I like the interface better than FireTV, and you can cast from your phone to the TV with Chromecast capable media. 2 devices in one.

I love this new chromecast . The remote is very useful. and the googel inface is great . only one issue is that it seems to take take longer for chromecast to wake up when i switch on tv .

Actually have seen this in use. Will not allow IPhone beaming to non Cromcast TV. The old ones did. The remote for a smart TVs is EXCELLENT!!!! Price is Great.

I bought this as a gift for my elderly Aunt so she could entertain herself. We did have 2 popular cable services but both were too complicated for her to use and the prices were awful. This by far is the best one yet. I have the older cheaper version and it still works great, even have the latest version of the Stick and this one is the best. Slim,small, and very easy to use. One thing i should mention that is extremely important is the remote will need to reset if it stops working. Google can walk you through it by removing the batteries and pushing some buttons all at the same time. Then it runs again like brand new.

Best low cost stream package around, really easy to setup and the remote is great too.

Very easy to install and does not crash near as much as my Roku devices. Its a no brainer if you're a Samsung household but also as a great alternative to apple TV and Roku.

I have used a lot of different streaming devices and this is a nice slim device that is easy to set up and use and I like the addition of the push to talk on the remote.

I’ve had the first generation chromecast, it got too slow and wouldn’t work with applications. This thing is second to the Apple TV. It’s fast and almost seamless. Love the remote

I love Google TV. Very easy to use. Great remote. Netflix is right on the remote.

Product is easy to set up and use! This older TV was hooked up to an Apple receiver. The control was very touchy which made it hard to stream programs. The Google TV control makes streaming so easy and the voice recognition works perfectly for all voices in our household. The unit is very reasonably priced.

This is everything I've ever been looking for in a wireless DONGLE device. No jokes here, though. I can watch Youtube TV, Amazon, HULU, Netflix ... everything right here. 100% recommend.

I love how this works. I had the earlier version that you had to control with your phone. This is so much easier with a super light weight remote. The voice part makes it even easier.

Mainly purchased this so i could cast my oculus quest 2 to my tv. Worked perfectly. Now i mostly use it for all my streaming services. Love it.

I am thoroughly impressed with this streaming device. The only thing I wished was different is the remote. It's small. I have big hands. With the back being rounded and being so small, clicking one the volume up and down side buttons isnt where i would like them. I bought a rubber cover for the remote that i think will make the remote more grippier. However, the rest of this device is exactly what i wanted from a streaming device. The interface is awesome. The remote size is a small issue to deal with for me because of everything else so far has been great. Highly recommend the Chromecast with Google TV

Impressive. The remote is easy to set up and integration with google home is excellent. Seems to be faster than my Roku device, but haven’t truly compared this apples to apples.
