The "new" Google TV is working great! I am using it with YouTube TV and several other free apps. No hiccups! I have it on 2 tvs and I am using 2 other Smart Samsung TV's that don't need a streaming device. I might buy 2 more because I like the Google TV unified interface so much better than the Samsung TV version.

People need to realize yes it's new so there will be more support to come, theres also something you can do to speed up the chromcast alot more, go into settings and turn on developer options and go to animations and change them from 1x to .5 times it speeds up the chromcast by alot. I haven't had any problems with crashing or anything like that

Best bang for the $$

It has tons of features, performs really well and disappears behind the TV. Search isn't as universal as Roku and it really needs a storage upgrade but at just a few bucks more than some generic Andoid/Google TV boxes it's excellent. If they can fit another 24GB of local memory and ethernet in this thing, and address some software glitches I would totally give this 5 stars. That optional ethernet, power brick combo that Google is selling for the device is a complete ripoff, otherwise this is a bargain.

I even, like this one better than the built in TV interface on LG, Samsung, & TCL TVs. The interface is full of great feature plus its super smooth and love have the google assistant right on the remote. If you have a google account, get this over Roku, or even Amazon fire sticks.

While the TV itself has streaming apps the interface was annoying and practically unusable. Every time you have to keep going back to the samsung tv+ whatever so that the sound bar can be controlled. Enter the Chromecast - easy to use, since it plugs into hdmi it functions properly with the TV. No buffering or issues. Love it!

Older smart TVs that don't have all the apps such as HBO Max can be improved with this. The little remote is an added bonus. My only complaint is I wish the remote was a bit larger to allow holding it by the end and use the buttons. Having said that, those buttons, power and TV source are not used that much. I highly recommend it and I'll probably buy a second one for an older non-smart TV.
