The Nvidia Shield has better upscaling to 4k and also is better with sound but for this price if you don't care about that by this one.

The fact you are able to control source input and not need to rely on smart switching with HDMI-CEC or ARC/E-ARC is great. And it supports all the HDR standards as well. Ended up going witb Apple TV just because it has an ehternet versionbur if i could have kept the Chromecast, I would.

Although this one seems to work much better I had to go back to using 2 remotes for my Bose soundbar, but at least itdoesn't hang on me anymore.

I have a Firestick 4K as well as a Roku and the Chromecast with Google TV is the best of the bunch. Easy to use and the recommendation algorithm seems to work better than the others. At $50 it's a steal. Works awesome with Geforce Now.

I can download my apps to it. The Chromecast with Google TV has allowed to to get rid of cable TV.

This doesn't only steam in higher quality, it comes with a voice activated remote which makes it super easy to navigate.

I've consolidated all of my streaming services onto this one device. I wish it came with the ethernet adapter but you can now buy it from Google for twenty bucks.
